1.       admittedly, 电视机已经成为学习的重要手段。电视机更加形象，更加具体，可以开阔人们的眼界，了解最新动向。
2.       however, 书本有它不可代替的优点。1）方面convenience. 便于携带，可以随时随地的看。2）成本低，而电视机还需要信号和电等。3）经过几行年的发展，书本比电视更成熟，资料更多。书籍可以从图书馆借阅。4）看电视是随机的，无目的的。
3.       actually, 如果要需要系统的学习知道还是要用书本。因为把专业知道制作成录象等成本太高，不是平常人所能接受的。
4.       conclusion，all in all, television and reading book both play their important roles in human’s life. We should take into account of the both side. Television helps people for amusement and accepting the information in time. And the reading books is the most important way to learn knowledge.

With the development of science and technology, the television enter into our life and become a common wiring in our houses. As the speaker contends in the age of television reading books is not as important as it once was and people can learn as much by watching television as they can by reading books. I strongly disagree with what the speaker claimed. I concede that reading books is not as important as it was, but we learn much more knowledge by reading books than by watching television.

Admittedly, the television takes an crucial role in everyday and has become an important way for us to learn knowledge. For one thing, the television can give us a vivid world which we have never seen. A case in point is that we can see the views from thousands of mile, nevertheless the views are in New York or London. For another, the television tends to create passive views by provide instant culture. Vast programs the TV shown are more visualize and more concrete which can board our horizon and learn more current events. For example, we can see the 911 even living broadcast through the TV and know how many people are dead and how many people are injured. Therefore, the television is so important in contemporary human's life.

However, the books have their special advantages and can not be instituted by the other way, such as watching TV and travel on the internet. Firstly, the book is convenience to take and we can read books everywhere, on bus or on subways when we go to work. Secondly, the low cost of the book for everyone to afford. But the cost of the TV is so high and the TV needs the signals and the electricity. Without signals and electricity the TV is only a decoration. Thirdly, the books with the development of thousands of years, there are more information of books than the TV. We can lead a book in any libraries and there are many books for us reading. Finally, the television, played with pictures, sound, always to interrupt any further thinks and force you to going on.

Actually, if we want to learn professional knowledge, we should turn to read books, the books can give us much more knowledge than from TV and the cost of the making TV video is too high, there is no need for us to make every professional knowledge into video which will cost too much human force, money, and material resources.

All in all, watching television and reading books both take important role in our life. We should take into account of the both sides. TV helps people for amusement and accepting information in time. And the reading books is the most important way for us to learn professional knowledge.
