Human beings are always regarded as one part of the nature. As a result, government should leave wilderness public areas as their original, as is asserted by the author. In fact, before governor makes his decision, a global evaluation is needed including considering environment harmony as well as the development of the industry and people's life quality.
It is necessary to preserve wilderness places as its natural state in order to sustain the balance between mankind and the nature environment. Human has evolved from the monkey, which lived in nature. The genes inside us thus require interaction between we and the original nature. Minqing, a city located in the middle Asia, will disappear in the future. People there pay little attention to the wilderness resources and cut off countless trees. Animals there without their original forest died one by one, which leads to the changing of the environment. Forest then becomes less and less while sand exists instead of soil. We can assume that if governors preserve their areas, people their can live better and longer. Places accessible to a few people may also allow them to have an alternative when they meet such disaster.
However, developing wild areas within appropriate method can fully use the strength of the wilderness resource to protect itself. We protect natural environment for the living of human beings but not only for the beauty of the earth. Therefore, a method which can not only fulfill the willing of sustaining wilderness areas but also cater to the needs of the citizens will appeals most people. African elephants have diminished before. Smart local governor saved elephants by selling them to local people. People their rise the animals to attract the attention of travelers and killed old elephants in order to leave more food for younger. Although the number of people there increased sharply, the elephants, to their surprise, live better than before. It is obviously that appropriate use is necessary for protecting natural resources.
Furthermore, people require properly using natural resource to improve their life quality and shove the development of the society. With the development of the industry, more and more places are required to build up rooms and buildings. If governors protect the natural areas as its original state by neglecting the needs of the society, economy, combined with the quality of people's life, will be hurt. The result therefore offends the primary aim of protecting the nature.
In conclusion, government should consider the comprehensive factors, before it decide what extend it should preserve wilderness areas. Whether the areas are remote or inaccessible are in fact not vital and not the only factor government should consider.
