今天决定把作业都补上，这是昨天（2.22）的作业，第一次写issue, 有点崩溃，自己都不忍心看第二遍了，觉得需要改进的地方还很多，幸亏还有时间，呵呵。如果哪位大侠有空，帮我拍拍，不胜感激~~！

130. "How children are socialized today determines the destiny of society. Unfortunately, we have not yet learned how to raise children who can help bring about a better society."

The speaker claims that socialization of today’s children determines the future of our society, but the disappointing point is that we have not yet learned how to raise such children to better out society. I concede that the youth of the nation determines the future of it, and the socialization of children is a crucial tache. But before the children enter the society, education plays a more important role, and good education can bring about the children who can better our society.

It is believed that the children are the hope of future. If the children are provided with good education and healthy environment, they can develop themselves well and bring about a better society. Nowadays, never has so much attention been paid to our children, so the education seems to be more important than ever before. The purpose of education is not only teaching student the basic knowledge and technical skills, but also includes moral education, social responsibility, healthy behavior, and critical thinking, etc. All of these are indispensable preparation for the socialization of our children. One may argue that how we can educate our children properly and what the right teaching methodology is. Well, retrospect the history we will find that our society advanced forward during which our ancestors educated their children in the similar way. What they have been taught is taught to their children. And even now, we can still learn so many splendiferous teaching methodologies from our ancestor, such as Confucius. In addition, education experts can travel to different countries and research the differences between different educational systems, then adopt those good ones. I believe that our society is steadily evolving into a more civilized one and children who receive a good education would bring about a better society.

Admittedly, there are also some problem existed in our educational system that we can not ignore, such as severe competition, pragmatism and utilitarianism in studying, mechanical memory, and campus violence, etc. These problems are unavoidable in our nowadays society due to many different reasons. All of them should be improved steadily and gradually.

In summary, children are the hope of our society’s future, and how they are socialized determines the destiny of society. And education gives an indispensable preparation before they enter the society.  More important, we can learn from history and different cultures to raise the children properly. Therefore, a better society, in a way, is determined by the good education of our children.
