Will the human mind always be superior to machines? The speaker claims so, for the reason that machines are only tools of human minds. However, I concede that, the machines have been superior to human mind in some areas, but it cannot take the thinking place of human mind. Otherwise in my view, the machines are not only tools of human minds, but also assisment for working to human.

In the first place, machines are designed by human beings for work, so it is to say that they are tools to ubgrade our working ability. In the old time when any machines have not been invented, people worked and lived in a situation which we work by hands and simple tools like anvil or file, as time goes by, more and more people realize the importance of the work which is done by tools. In 19th century, the invention of steam engine take a great upgrade to production in many fields include transportation, industry, and agriculture.  So if the human live a world without machines, it means that they live in a world without progress.

In the second place, machines have superior to human mind already in some fields, and we human beings, whose development is based on the helpness of machines, cannot live and research without machines. Now days the information in human live is such a large amount and which is still growing day by day, it is difficult for human mind to learn and fix them in short time, but it is an easy work for machines which are designed for treatment on information. Here is an example, the computer, it has been widely used in many fields, to face to the incretable amount of information. In stock centre, all the sales are treated by computer, in the GRE test, the computer helps to short the time of exam.

Finally, the machines are not tools to our life only in recent ages, we need its working just like we need food for our living. Machines can be seen anywhere in our life, sometimes we can say we have lived among the machines. If there are no cars, it is a hard way to go for work because more and more people live far away from work place by the growing of city. A research shows that, in the last 10 years, the number of cars in Beijing is double as 15 years ago. So the machines have been great need of life.

In sum, the machines have do far more work than our mind does, they have a top speed for work, without machines, we will develop along and go back to the old ages working by hands. Even worse, some research which will do great effect to our futhure must stop without the help from machines.
