It is a fact that when people have interests in some subjects, they can concentrate their attention on learning them and attain the best effect. However, according to conditions and the social demands in all aspects, which render education unable to meet interests and needs of every student.
Admittedly, when curriculums are set to meet needs and interests of students, the better effect of education stands to reason(不懂得意思,经的住推理?). If all courses can be chosen, undoubtedly, all students will (,undoubtedly,)prefer to those they are interested in, because they long for getting knowledge referred(related?) and would pay more attention to it. And then the efficiency of study will be enhanced to a higher level. On the contrary, if students are learning something (missing?)which they do not care about at all, the outcome must be unsatisfying, (and) thus the study is the mandatory and without thinking. Indeed it is very important to create a circumstance which students are interested in.
Notwithstanding, the idea education should be designed to meet the individual needs and interests of everyone is not likely to come true. Firstly, the action must fail from the objective conditions. Majorities of schools do not possess enough funds and professors to force the idea into reality. For example, in some universities, most students are interested in economics. In that case, if we arrange the curriculums as just referred, the instance(s) either (being) lack of professors in economics or waste of (wasting)professors’ energy in other subjects will happen inevitably. The quality of the education may be worse, and the university may be aberrant from the fine development ways.
Moreover, the target of the education is to cultivate students to be a person, able to think, to judge. It also furnishes students with skills and ability to meet the needs of the society. If students are fond of economics, and be all sent to study economics, then no body will work in other departments of society in future or someone just with little knowledge. At that time, who does research on physics, chemistry and so forth to impulse the society toward; who acts as leaders to maintain our normal life; and who produces and devises appliances for us and maintain them.(好象句子结构不完整,只有主语) The society needs talents in all respects.
In my experience, every subject involves a large number of knowledge of others. Environmental Engineering is a case in point, to study environment must learn some knowledge of math, chemistry, architect, geography, etc. Even if you have not any affection for those related subjects, can you give up them? Hence, I regard that it is better that our curriculums should be designed by universities. After all, faculty possesses more experience and overall understanding than us, and they can direct us with more reasonable methods.
In sum, it seems impossible that education can be designed to meet the individual needs and interests of each student at the current time. Students can select curriculums they agree with on the base that faculty have structured the primary and necessary courses for them.(关于兴趣的好处没总结)
