今早8:30左右，一封垃圾邮件来到了我的邮箱，内容是：

Dear Mr. HandsomeLee:

Welcome to the PhD program in Microbiology at XXX U.  You acceptance letter is attached, an official one is coming in the mail.

Congratulations.

然后附件有一封名为：HandsomeLeePhDXXX07.doc 的信，我兴奋莫名啊，Offer来啦？！可打开一看：竟然是发错了！！！！！！！！！！内容如下，我可算见到Offer的样子了，虽然是别人的……:funk:

Dear Mr. XX:

I am pleased to inform you that the Department of Biological Sciences has recommended you for acceptance in the Biological Sciences PhD program.  Official confirmation will arrive under separate cover from the Graduate School.

In addition, you have been recommended to receive a Teaching Assistantship for the academic year 2007-08.  Assuming that your performance is satisfactory and that sufficient funds are available, this award will be continued annually for a maximum of 5 years.  Your new appointment begins August 10, 2007 and will end on June 30, 2008.  Your stipend will be $17,000 annually.  Assistants are required to teach in a maximum of three laboratories per week and may be given other course-related duties with a total workload not to exceed 20 hours per week.  Teaching assignments will be made after registration in August.

Your major advisor will be Dr. XXX XXXX.  I encourage you to contact Dr. XXX and let him know your anticipated arrival date.  You will also want to discuss graduate courses for next fall with your advisor.

Graduate school regulations require that all students awarded a GLA register for nine hours of credit in each of the fall and spring semesters, and 3 hours in each of the two summer sessions.  The award is contingent upon the availability of funds, the satisfactory performance of your duties, progress toward your degree, and satisfactory performance in your dissertation research throughout the year.  Of course, if you graduate before the end of the period, your TA would be terminated at that point.

You will be expected to attend a teaching instruction workshop beginning the week of August 13, 2007.  Further instructions and exact dates and times will be forwarded to you.  Orientation is August 19 and 20; late registration is August 20 and 21.  Classes begin on August 22, 2007.

Satisfactory teaching performance requires the ability to communicate effectively in the laboratory and the classroom.  Satisfactory academic and research progress is determined by your major advisor in conjunction with your advisory committee and the graduate advisory committee.

We would appreciate a written response regarding your acceptance of this offer by no later than, April 15, 2007.  Letting us know your intentions as soon as possible will facilitate our ability to offer spots to alternate candidates.  Please call or write if you have any questions.  We are pleased that you will be joining our PhD program for the Fall Semester.

我已经攒人品给他回复说发错了，哈哈，还说很感谢他给我带来的短暂的快乐！;d:
大家有自己的Offer的，有据的，有AD的，有Waiting list的！
可谁有别人的Offer啊？！哈哈啊哈哈哈哈哈;d:
以后我也可以说，我有Offer啦！而且是鬼佬的！:loveliness:
