Are most important discoveries or creations accidental? The speaker claims so, by the reason that it is usually while seeking the answer to one question that we come across the answer to another. However, I concede that a result of discoveries and creation is based on a plan which is made before the research. Otherwise in my view, a happy accident in science is reasonable but not happen all the time.

First, it is a valuable habit that for a scientist to keep on the research of an unknown question, which result is uncertain. There are two kinds of experiment, one have a certain result and the use of the experiment is to proof what will happen during the proceed or to proof whether the assumption of the result is right or not; the other one whose result is uncertain, and it will do more hard work and research than the first one, and this is named research. What is the most wanted? Of course the research. Because innovation is created during the way people search new and unknown result. Without innovation, no one will try to fix a airplane, and the dream of fly will never come true. So a way to creations is a target to an uncertain field.

However, many success in science and art is based on a well thought plan. It will take much money and energy to do research and science work, without a plan, it is not only a waste of money and energy, but also make the way to success longer to reach the final line. Take the environment in China for an example, there are many kinds of pollution problems which is need to be solved, however, it is different by areas. In Harbin, the mainly problem is the water, which is highly polluted by Hg and Fe, but it is air pollution in Beijing which is the mainly one. Unless we have a certain plan, we will never solve the problem which is different. Or in another word, we can not do the work in Harbin by the way fit for Beijing, what we need first, is the plan. So it is so important that a certain plan is before one research and experiment is beginning.

In addition, it is more valuable a research is when the result of it will do benefit to people. There are two kind of research which is doing in the science field, one does little benefit to human beings, while the other does more. For example, research on nuclear weapons is proceed in many countries, besides a use of war, what it can be used to? So the research on this is non-meaningful. Further more, a non-meaningful research such as nuclear weapons costs much money and time which can be used on benefit research. So to justify the discoveries or creations is important or not depend on whether the result will do benefit to human beings.

In sum, to have a success discoveries or creation, one should have a certain plan and a well-thought prepare.
