The best way to teach –whether as an educator, employer, or parent- is to praise positive actions and ignore negative ones

Only praising and no comments, is it a good way to teach in all the cases? In my opinion, applauding right actions is helpful in education. While give the comments on the wrong things is also important for the persons who are instructed.

First, praising will give the educatee aspect and inspire them to have a favorable behavior. Since in our world, most of us eager to be accepted and consider ourselves as valuable, being applauded from by others, especially from the seniority, will have a feeling of delighted and confident, thus lead to a continuity to have a positive things. For example, one of my high-school classmates, now as a university student major in physics, once never got passed in physical exams in school and always sad in his ability to study physics. But in a midsemester, he got an unexpected A and was highly praised by our physics teacher in public. This commends make him confident of physics and inspire him to work harder and harder. Finally he enters one of the best universities in our country with high scores in physics. Turning a poor student in physics to a future physicist, this is the magic of praises, and it changes the whole life of a person.

Second, the comments on wrong actions also play an important role of education. Every one may have faulty more and less. As people always high-estimated when roll their hoops in all things at a time and ignore the underlying weakness, advice with goodwill will cool down over-confident in time, help him to overcome the fault and help him to be better. Also the case of my classmate I described above, since he has become one of the top student in physics, he always paid much attention on physics and ignored other subjects which he was good at. The teacher in charge of my class realized his over-confident and once gave him comments in private. The comments is that there no stands after a four-legged table left one of its legs as latter this my classmate told in a party. My classmate finally understood what this sentence means and finally treated other subjects as much as physics. In his example, both the praise and the comments have a positive effect on him.

However, praise or comment in different way may cause different effect. As an example, a child who did something wrong was beat by his father as a comment. Maybe the father’s will is good, the method is illegal and works a bad effect on the development of this child. After being beat, he may abominate the society and consider that force is a powerful way to solve problems. So are the coddle. A child comes on an over-care family may consider him/herself too much and do not take care about others. Bossy and unreasonable may be the main character of them. These kinds of praise and comment make no positive effect on educatee, but harm them heavily.

In sum, both praise and comment may take effect on education. The way to educate determines the effect it will.

论证有条理性，结构清晰
不过最好加上对雇主的分析，例证举一些更有名的会更好，对只赞扬好的忽视坏的缺点最好再深入分析将更有说服力
