请问去澳洲申请博后的问题？

请问大家澳洲的博士后申请都是什么时间开始，什么时候申请合适啊？ 我在网上看了下都是截止到2月份，可是我们国内都是7月份毕业啊，那岂不是要等半年？而且博士后要办457工作签证吗？签证要等多久啊？是每个签证等的时间 不一样吧？不好意思我是刚打算出国可能问的比较白痴的问题，因为在网上看了下大家的帖子都没这么初级的。博士后的工作签证要等7个月的吗？

Did you contact any professor and get any positive feedback? This is something you definitely need to do as your first step to get a postdoc position in Australia. Due to limited funding, it is not so easy to get such jobs in Australia as in USA or Europe. Generally speaking, your background should match the requirement of a position as perfectly as possible to be able to arouse the interest of your potential employer. That means you should not only have been working in the same general research field as your potential boss does, but also have been working in a specific narrow area which DOES require a similar/identical skill set to what the job description says, so that people will be convinced that you can get into work straightaway.:loveliness:

Thanks for ur kind reply. Im afraid things are not that positive to me. I just contacted Newcastle Uni last month, they gave me a polite reply that they wanted someone can start work promptly. And the position is not really similar as I did before.

Thanks for ur advice again, I will keep looking. I've thought post doc would be a better way than others I'd prefer to go to Aussie. sigh, it's a hard way anyway.:confused:
