    It is generally acknowledged that quality of instruction at the college and university level is the most important for teachers and students, on the basis that all faculty do well in their academic world, it is very helpful for them to spend time working outside the academic world in professions relevant to the courses they teach.
    The level of faculty is mostly decided by their achievement in their academic world. Without outstanding achievement in acadmic, the faculty have no right to teach other students, and they are not suitable, even not eligible to be a teacher. In any collegesand universities, the faculty is a good example for students to learn. It is no meaning that teacher is in the shade of students. The most essential parts of education is to teach students knowledge of academic. In common sense,  the better the teacher is, the better the student is, it describes the importance of the teacher.
     Admittedly, the ability of the academic world in professions relevant to the courses  is very important for the faculty, but the culture outside the academic world somtimes may even more important, as the edution not only teach students knowledge, but also teach student how to be a  person who ibenefit to  the society. Take a example, it is not hardly to see that many students with high scores in university finally beccome a criminal who is harm to the society, which we are not willing to see. To avoid this situation, we should not ignor the education of being a good person. It is the faculty's responsibility to teach, which require all faculty should spend time working outside the academic world in professions relevant to the courses they teach. The working experience in the practical world helps college and university teachers to design their courses according to the needs of the proffessional fields
     However, the teachers in some disciplinessuch as mathematics,history, etc, may find it difficult to combine their teaching with relevant professional fields, for these fields sometimes are confined to a small region of academic world.  So it is unreasonable to require all faculty in all kinds of academic to spend time working outside the academic world in professions relevant to the course they teach. We should take this situation into account.
     In sum, in order to improve the quality of instruction of at the college and university level, measures should be taken to solve this problem, it is a good choice that all faculty except the teachers in some disciplines such as mathematics,history are require to spend time working outside the academic world in professions relevant to the courses they teach .
