Nowadays, technologies are rapidly developing and admittedly influence the social. But do technologies not only influence but actually determine social customs and ethics? I do not agree with such assertion（what assertion do you not agree???）. On the contrary, technologies are good at the social customs and ethics in most cases. Even sometimes certain technologies have caused some bad affection, the society can quickly response and hinder such events happen.(感觉你的观点还是不是很明确，很条理)
In the first point, in most time modern technologies are used as an effective complement to the social customs. Take for example the Spring Festival--our most important festival. In the past, people, when the new year' day comes, prefer to fire firecrackers. Yet, such action was regarded as a destroy to the city's environment, and our government decided to stop such custom in order to the development of a long-term aspect. In that case, technologies appear and help people continue such custom in other form. It is electronical firecrackers. People also can see the colorful scene and the familiar sound that generated from the real firecrackers before by using such firecrackers. Another technology to influence the day is the TV. Nowadays, people have a new form--appreciating the spring festival evening show--to go through the New Year. That we can have such good form should thanks to the TV, without which, it is difficult to imagine such things.
In the second point, social ethics also gains help from the modern technologies. Let's have a look at the gene identification. In the daily life, it often happens that parents recognize the wrong children. And when such things occur, in most time, the parents always cannot well justify who are their children. If the technology-gene identification—is not invented, such problem will still be a problem. By using such technology, it is easy to identify whether the children are the parent’s or not. Obviously, this technology ensures the relationship of a parent and children is true and help the social ethics better develop..
However, it should be not overlooked that the use of technologies is not correct and has got some terrible and serious aftermath. Granted, such abusing technologies not only influence but have a trend to determine social customs and ethics. Fortunately, society always can recognize such worse affection, and carry out some measure to pretend such technologies abused. For example, the only two atom bombs which explored in Japan, is such a pity for human. Many infant people, including the children, the adult, and the old were dead or injured in such event. Having recognizing such serious effect, the world has operated many measures to prevent such events happen: many treaty have assigned to not let such arm extending.（your example fails to support your contention）
In sum, without technologies, the society cannot develop, without technologies, many problems about social customs and ethics cannot be solved. For that matter, do not consider technologies as bad things.
