"Governments should focus more on solving the immediate problems of today rather than trying to solve the anticipated problems of the future."


The topic asserts that the crucial problem should be solved by governments is the immediate problems of today, and the solution of the anticipated problems of the future is not in a hurry. Although a large percentage of the citizens agree with it, as far as I concern, I will held the opposite opinion.

It is admitted that the solution of the immediate problems of today is necessary
and important for governments. At present there are a lot of problems in our society such as the wars, crimes, drugs, unemployment and the abuse of the women. If the government adopt the policy to overlook these, we cannot image how our society will be. Maybe the citizens all live in the poor condition and very dissatisfied with the government. Subsequently it is possible that mass struggle of the citizens to get more comfortable life against the government would be take place. Thus solving the immediate problems of today is the guarantee of the nomal living of the public.

However, we must recognize that the solution of anticipated problems of the future are ignored by the government is not the smart. Many of the anticipated problems of the future are not solved for a long time that will become the immediate problems of today that need solve immediately, or it will cause mass damage in our society. Even some of anticipated problems of the future will become the problems that are never been solved. I will take the growing  environmental problems as example. We all know the impact of the pollution in our environment, but a lot of polluting activities still been done. Why? Because the government consider the environmental problems is the anticipated problems of the future. They pay little attention on it and fail to make releavent
regulations. They think they live for today and not tomorrow. As a result of that, the air pollution and global warm get more and more serious. If the government still adopt the attitude that take the environmental problems as anticipated problems of the future and ignore it. This problem will be the one which is too late to do anything and we have no way to solve it.

Futhermore, narrowly concentrating on solving the immediate problems rather than trying to solve the anticipated problems of the future, is an expression of irresponsible for the future generations. We only consider how can we get more money and how can we get comfortable life. The government only consider how to develop the economy and society to make his rule more stronger. However, what will we leave for descendants we never think about it.

In sum, through what I present in the argument I disagree with the topic that the issue inform us. From what has been discussed above, we may finally draw the conclusion that governments should focus on solving the immediate problems of today, and more attention should be paid to solve the anticipated problems of the future.
