Some people think governments should spend as much money as possible exploring outer space (for example, traveling to the Moon and to other planets). Other people disagree and think governments should spend this money for our basic needs on Earth. Which of these two opinions do you agree with? Use specific reasons and details to support your answer.
Should the government invest as much money as possible in exploration of outer space or spending them on basic needs of our earth? As more and more emphases are drawn on exploring new space in modern society, the application of novel technology does have merits in development of human being. However, the most appropriate choice here, in my opinion, should primarily focus on the deterioration of our earth.
As is known to all, the emergence of new technology for exploring outer space could unnecessarily achieve the original purpose of human. With the development of modern world, many people begin to invent novel technologies with a view of outer space. Star craft, rocket and space station have cost billions of dollars at least. Indeed, the mystery of universe always attracts human attention and propels them
to seek what will exist out of the earth. Since the Apollo entered into the real space, people became more enthusiastic in shaping so imaginable a process that often be shown in science film. Nevertheless, the advancement of science should be carried out step by step. Any disadvantageous wishes for quick success and instant benefit would result in numerous wastes, even the catastrophe without any preparation. The film of ‘The Alien’ would give us a vivid indication.
Next, there are many severe problems should be settled as soon as possible. Our earth has been suffering energetic crisis, environment pollution, climate warming and so on, which could lead directly to human life for poverty, starvation and death. While encounter a bagger in the street or watch a girl squats outside the classroom, couldn’t the government offer them more help by extra funds? The earth now, without any exaggeration, likes a big bomb under our feet. Once blow up, never regenerate again. So, the government should spend sufficient money in dealing with the basic problems of earth as a primary goal. It assures development and advancement of the natural atmosphere, as well as the well-being of people during hard time.
In sum, the government should spend more money for our earth but not the exploration of outer space. Facing at infinite pressure from the masses and the media, it would be better to take enough care of our home.
Do you agree that childhood is the happiest (or precious) time in life
Well, I totally agree that childhood is the happiest time in my life. At present, I always think of that beautiful time. First, I can do what is my favorite without any pressure. There is no need to consider tiny things. I can find happiness from playing games. Secondly, I think the most important is that I know some knowledge about biology. I often catch dragonfly, butterfly and so on with friends. And finally, it becomes my major field. Luckily, my parents make some VCR and photos about my childhood. Enjoying those records recalls my happiest childhood now. |
