The professor states that human traveled for primarily political and economical purposes in early time while later they traveled for personal enrichment and adventure, which was in support of the ideas in reading material that people had tours for resources initially and for culture and education later.

Firstly, the professor mentioned Ernest Hemingway who traveled for conquering adventure, agreeing with the idea in the reading material that he showed people to be available to journey for adventure.

Secondly, the professor bolstered the reading by stating that the ethnic travel’s purpose was exploring different cultures. In the passage, it is said that in the seventeenth century many young Europeans took tours to broad their culture horizons, and to have further different study.

Thirdly, the professor pointed out that the purpose of environmental travel was to observe, take pictures and learn about nature. This upholds the statement in the reading: John Muir inspired people to protect the natural world.

So, the speaker agreed with the content in the reading passage and pointed out several similar ideas of the change of reasons for the travel’s purpose.

When you choose a career, what factor is the most important, money or your personal satisfaction?

For this question, i think money is the most essential factor when choosing a career based on following explanations. On one hand, we can use the salary to purchase healthy food, warm clothes, safe househole appliances. If we care about the personal satisfaction regardless of low salary, we would buy worse quality goods which can't guarantee our family a healthy and safe live. On the other hand, working is the way for people to get most money of them while we can also get lots of personal satisfaction from voluntary work.Therefore, money is the most important factor, not personal satisfaction.
