Throughout history, there have been thousands of scientists, inventors, prophets and visionaries who have significantly affected the way we live today. It must be an amazing and adventurous journey if I have the chance to travel back to meet these celebrities. Among these famed people, the one I venerate most is Albert Einstein, who I would choose to meet.
Albert Einstein was the embodiment of pure intellect. He was considered the greatest scientist of the 20th century and one of the greatest of all time. No others’ discoveries and theories have influenced science in many fields so greatly as his. As most people considered, he was unfathomably profound--the genius among geniuses who discovered, merely by thinking about it, that the universe was not as it seemed.
Albert Einstein’s ideas, like Darwin's, reverberated beyond science, influencing modern culture from painting to poetry. At first even many scientists didn't really grasp relativity, which seemed to pull the rug out from under perceived reality, but after later experimental substantiation by other scientist of his theories, the scientific world soon astounded by his accomplishment, which help him to won the Nobel Prize.
Another reason that I revere him most is his another role as being a active leader of the international anti-war movement and supported conscientious objection. With the onset of the atomic era, which was initiated by himself, Einstein realized that nuclear weapons were a profound risk to humanity and could bring an end to civilization. During the last decade of his life, he was tireless in his efforts to create effective international cooperation to prevent war.
Furthermore, what makes me believe that Einstein would be an excellent person to meet from history is because I would love to find out what the key to his inspirations were. He had so many brilliant ideas; there must have been a secret to his success that I am dying to know. Einstein had a profound effect on all modern societies around the world. His theories were a catalyst to modernization; in fact, the world would not be where it is today if it were not for this great man and his great mind. So, if I were the lucky one, I would go into raptures to see my idol.
