Some people choose friends who are different from themselves. Others choose friends who are similar to themselves. Compare the advantages of having friends who are different from you with the advantages of having friends who are similar to you. Which kind of friend do you prefer for yourself? Why?



Friendship is the most precious treasure that one has in his entire life, thus, the question of what kind of friends you choose becomes the critical one. For some, choosing friends who share the same interests is of great importance since they think that is why they come together and establish the friendship, however, for others, making friends with those who are different from themselves is what matters because these people believe only in such way can the friendship be the strongest one. As for me, I tend to agree with the latter-I prefer to make friends with someone who is different from me.

In the first place, making friends successfully with some one who is different from you guarantees to some degree that the friendship will last long. Making friends is a process during which two people get to know each other in every aspect such as interests, characteristics and habits. Surely, friendship is established upon that one person accepts the other, in this sense, if one party can accept the difference that another bears, the friendship built will be much stronger than that produced by two who share too much, for the similarities between two can somehow preclude the full recognition of each other's bad sides.

What's more, choosing a friend who is different gives you the chance to cultivate your ability to compromise. In a society where people are pursuing and are laying much emphasis on individuality, the skill of compromising is extremely important. It is no doubt that having a friend who is different from you will help you acquire this ability. Being a friend of somebody, you must learn to be considerate to your friends and try to reach accordance; in this process you can master the art of compromising a difference. One the contrary, a friend who share so much with you definitely leaves you no chance to cultivate this ability and practice the widely applied skill.

In conclusion, it is true that choosing a friend who share something with you can bring about much pleasure and harmony, however, compared with the reasons I mentioned above, this appears impotent for me, thus I prefer to choose a friend who is different from me.

这一段观点不错，但是首句的compromise感觉不是一个positive的词，改成写tolerance怎样？

In conclusion, it is true that choosing a friend who share something with you can bring about much pleasure and harmony, however, compared with the reasons I mentioned above, this(that or which，而且感觉这个分句插入到reasons后面更通顺一些) appears impotent(important    -_-||| ) for me, thus I prefer to choose a friend who is different from me.

整体上来看，结构很好，两个分论点也很锲合主题
内容略显单薄，说理的地方太多
语言上有种看绕口令的感觉，有的地方有点小啰唆……
虽然很多句式用得很好，不过读起来不是很舒服，有的地方要读上两三次才能明白你的意思（不过和我阅读水平不高也有关系  ╮(╯▽╰)╭ ）

其它地方都很好，就是发音有点问题，建议一个一个单词的改。

感觉成习惯了，改起来可能会有点麻烦
