Stay at home all your life or go around to enjoy the beautiful world. Different people may have various perspectives, due to their different experiences. Some people prefer to stay at home, because they have relatives, fixed friends, and leisure time. However, I think traveling can promote the intercourse of culture, technology, and experiences among dissimilar nations.

Admittedly, with the development of technologies, people can know things happen at the any corner of the world through TVs, Internet, and other media at home. However, I think it is totally a different feeling when people go to view landscape by themselves. For instance, how do people really appreciate the coral's beautiful color by only stay in front of TV?

Furthermore, it is undoubted that traveling improved the communication among different cultures, religions not only at past time, but today. Take the greatest traveler- Marco Polo for example, he brought many technologies from China, at the same time experienced countless exotic things on his trip. The most important contribution is his writing which gave occidental people a imagination of oriental world. Moreover, even people can know what happened out their home, who give these information to them? The answer is those reporters who travel all over the world. If all people like to stay at home, maybe the American continent is still an undiscovered place.

Last but not least, we can find many friends throughout the world by traveling. A present example will shed some light on this point. The former vice president Gore's daughter just married several days ago. The luck groom's father is a Taiwanese. If he likes to stay and enjoy his life at home, maybe this marriage will not happen.

All in all, by traveling, people can exchange their views, experiences, and other exchangeable things; by traveling, people can view many wonders which they could not realize at home; and by traveling, people can make friends from different cultures, nations, and religions. In one word, traveling makes our life colorful.
