Throughout the cultural evolution of recording, from using certain animal furs to raw wood materials, then using advanced paper record as well as electrical mediums, humankind has changed a lot in the method of tracking documentary information. Nowadays, as the era of tech-society, some people claims printed books, which will be substituted by electronic after 20 years, is being obsolete. However, it’s undeniable the fact that book has its unarguable value for several aspects, such as more convenience, a relative low-cost, and the study atmosphere it can provide us.

Primarily, I appreciate book for its convenience. A printed book is known unlike any other electronic recording which will be failed to work if without a electricity source. By contrast, we dont have such technical limitation in reading  a book, and books are allowed to read at any time regardless whether there exits a power supply or not. Furthermore, compared with some electronic materials which should launched by computers, a book is easier for us to carry and thus it can be read at any place you like without burdens. It can hardly imagine that 20 years after now, every student will go to school with no book in hand, each of them carry a heavy machine crossing through different classrooms. That could not be true!

Next, books are lower-cost materials that could be afforded by students. Our world is now not as wealth as everyone in this planet could obtain a computer for study use. Some students living in poor countries, especially those in Africa, are still suffering with illness, starvation, and less-advanced education systems. In these regions, buying a computer, which is a heavy burden, seems to be impossible for them to reach. Such hardware and software existed problem also can hardly be fixed in the coming 20 years or even a longer time from now on as a result that students in developping countries might still need to study based on printed books.

Last but not least, it is clear that a good learning atmosphere will be available for us if choosing printed books. Take myself as an example; every time when I power on my computer, I always cannot concentrate myself on the needed information that presented on my computer screen. Too much tempts or lures, like chatting with friends, or enjoying a music song, which drives my attention away from truly study. To contrast, reading on a book which providing us a study atmosphere, has less outsider disturbance so that it should be preferred by students all over the world , not only who lives today, but also those in future.

All in all, though electronic recording takes some advantages in study such as a great amount of information storage and more efficient in searching or finding what you need to learn. But if all these factor are contemplated, the advantage of learning on books carries more weights. From what has been discussed above, we may finally draw the conclusion that advantages of books are far more obvious. Consequently, I firmly believe books will still dominate in students learning material in the future.

Since the invention of internet ,information sharing online comes into popularity rapidly.Some people even claimed that students no longer need the printed books if the technologies developped as quickly as now.However, in my personal opinion,printed book has its unique advantages and could not be substituted by any other information medium.

To begin with,books carry almost all informations in category.As the oldest method to record histories and stories since the start of human society,it is widely used and commonly accepted.All the books are divided into different categories such as novel ,technology and literture with each category contains many subcategories.Thanks to this orderly well classification,readers could easily find what they want in the library.For example,if a student needs a book which talks about the american history,what he/she needs to do is just going to the shelf of history.On the contraty, it takes much time if someone use computer and internet to search and filter informations.Printed books save time and energy which could be used to do more important things.

Moreover, reading books is a convient way of learning for students.It is portable and could be taken everywhere.For example ,some student like to take a minidictionary with them. Once have leisure time,they would take the book out and momerize englishwords,they can pause reading at any random time and do other things.It is a good way for them to improve their english level.Up to now we haven’t found any machine as convient as book in helping students learn and teachers teach.

Finally,while sitting long on the front of the screen could be harmful to students’eyes,reading books seems to be a healthier solution.Besides,It is not a good idea to finish homework in computer because students may be attracted by the interesting games and movies on the internet and therefore be negatively distracted from their works.

Based on what has been discussed above,i believe that after 20 years or even longer,paper would not dispears and student at that time still need books to finish their eductions.
