Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? It is more important for students to study history and literature than it is for them to study science and mathematics. Use specific reasons and examples to support your opinion.

With the quick development of society and technique, and widespread progresses of education, interaction of different fields has also got greatly improvement. When it comes to different courses, some people hold the viewpoints that study of history and literature is much more significant than that of science and mathematics. For personal perspective, albeit the former courses have positive influences on adding understanding of human beings, study on science and math is more important in our daily lives for their effects in everywhere of the earth.

To begin with, admittedly, history and literature have their own advantages to humans. Through study history and literature, people can enlarge their knowledge about human beings and enhance their spirits. For instance, history has been taken as one course in university for students to study with its recording of things done by people in the past. Students can learn the cause and the terrible influences of the war in common humans, which let their more reasoning in the future to avoid this similar thing from occurring. Additionally, from reading literature, people can enhance their spirits to natural environment as well as themselves. Therefore history and literature have their own positive effects to human beings.

Nevertheless, compared with the influences of history and literature, science and mathematics have much more significant in people daily lives. Development of human’s materials is mostly due to the enhancement of technique with the help of science and mathematics. For example, as we know, automobile like cars, buses and subways has become one indispensable part of our common lives. When we go to work and school or go traveling and visit some of our friends, them are main tools for us to choose with their conveniences like speed, safe, comfort and so on. These conveniences are offered by the technology from sciences and mathematics. Mathematics provides exact computation and correct data for designer to make the draw of cars. And worker with science background to make the cars with operation of machines. Thus, it is obvious that science and mathematics are pivotal fields for human beings.

Moreover, science and mathematics are also important for us with their advantages on work. In last century, one of great inventions is computer. With the help of computer, people can stimulate and calculate the data that they do not to in the past. For instance, people can design the drawing of car with the software like CAD, Pro/E and analysis the model with the tool Ansys in computer. The computer is made with the science and mathematics. Moreover, in our daily, mathematics is basic tool for us to computation. If you buy some commodities in one supermarket, the crasher has to add all the prices together to get the whole of expense. When you buy some vegetable in market, you often use math in calculating money of costs. Hereby, science and mathematics are significant on our daily lives.

In sum, albeit the history and literature have their own advantages at their won fields, the science and mathematics has much more importance for their indispensable parts to human lives. Therefore, it is more significant for students to study mathematics and science. For human, it is better to let them work together to offer the best services.
