很诡异的项目,邀请信很多人(包括我)都没收到(我是NUS小本),听说2月20号群发的邀请,3月6号就截至。不知道算不算是以后SMART的pioneer batch.
想问问SMA的学长(和SMART最接近的了),SMA的PhD有没有written QE,因为NGS只有oral。NUS MechanicalEng的QE不知道好不好过。
还有就是NGS和SMART哪个好?待遇差不多,SMART报的老板我比较熟,人不错,虽然不是大牛。NGS的老板就不是那么了解。

SMA Fellowships for Ph.D. students from NTU and NUS working at SMART The Singapore Ministry of Education has established 100 four-year fellowships for new or continuing doctoral students at NUS and NTU who will conduct their research at the Singapore-MIT Alliance for Research and Technology Centre (SMART Centre). The establishment of this Fellowship Programme is intended to attract to NTU and NUS the best and most talented doctoral students from Singapore, the region, and beyond; to provide them with the opportunity to be involved in the strategic research programmes at the SMART Centre; to provide them with the opportunity to be co-advised by an MIT faculty member; and to spend six months doing research at MIT, thereby educating future leaders in science and technology for Singapore and beyond. These Singapore-MIT Alliance (SMA) Fellowships will provide • up to four years of full tuition at the student’s home university;• a monthly stipend of S$ 3,200; and• a one-time travel grant of S$ 12,000 to help cover the expenses associated with asix month research residency at MIT. • There is no bond associated with these fellowships.In order to apply for a SMA Fellowship a student • must be admitted to NUS or NTU as a graduate student;• must have graduated with an undergraduate degree at the level of a first class orsecond-upper (or equivalent); • must have a research interest that fits within one or more of the projects currentlybeing carried out in one of the SMART Interdisciplinary Groups (IRGs) (for a description of the IRGs see http://web.mit.edu/smart/research/index.html);• and must be co-supervised by one faculty member from NTU or NUS and asecond faculty member from MIT, both of whom are associated with the SMART Centre; see − http://web.mit.edu/smart/dir_biosym.html,− http://web.mit.edu/smart/dir_censam.html, and− http://web.mit.edu/smart/dir_id.htmlfor a list of the participating faculty members. Preference will be given to incoming students and to first-year students who are already involved in research at the SMART Centre.
