Government must ensure that their major cities receive the financial support they need in order to thrive, because it is primarily in cities that a nation’s cultural traditions are preserved and generated.


    When people talk about resorts around the world , what naturally comes to our mind first are the big cities with famous edifices such as Beijing with the Great Wall and The Summer Palace ,New York with the Statute of Liberty, as well as Sydney with the Opera House. The buildings as well as the cities preserved and generated the cultural traditions of a nation , as a result , the government should give them big financial support to help them thrive ; but to do it without overlooking the country.
    Admittedly , the edifices of big cities cited above symbolize the different cultural traditions in different countries. When people go to visit another country , it is recommended that visiting a typical city with great buildings . For example , the Big Ben of London ,brings a peaceful sound of English people to all over the world ; the Triumph Gate of Paris, shows the French people are proud of their empire . The government plays an important role in the process of preserving a country’s cultural traditions .For example, it should give support to help the cities in its traffic affairs to enhance its ability to hold large scale worldwide events ; also it should put big money on the environment to pertain the beautiful visage of the city to attract more visitors , which will do good to the city itself in economic aspects in the long run .For example, the Chinese government has given a lot financial support to Beijing, where the 28th Olympic Games are to be held, to build luxury gymnasiums and hotels in which athletes could rest well and get well prepared for the competition ; also , the Chinese government has played emphases on the Games’ opening ceremony to draw attention from audience all over the world as well as to show the hospitality of Chinese people. In this respect , the government gives support to major cities do help preserve cultural traditions.
    However , one does not have to go very far to see that cultural traditions lie not only in cities . Imagine such a picture : Numerous windmills which represent a nation’s culture dancing on the farmland .This is probably a typical landscape which can only be seen in Holland . When you come to Mongolia , you can see the endless grassland with untold sheep and cattle grazing there as well as the nomadic life style of people living there . When you come to Brazil in the south America , what impress you deeply is possibly the samba performed by native people in the countryside. All of different views cited above are cultural traditions which mostly show how the nations really are .As a result , a lot of cultural traditions will become casualty with the government overlooking the folk features outside the cities . Under no circumstance should a government put big support to major cities without helping the county.
    For one thing , the government should help the big cities where a nation’s cultural traditions are preserved and generated .For another , it should take steps to pertain those folk customs and beliefs . Only by this way , a nation can make its prestige in the world .
