p$ \- K' ?; S8 z! Q' S- rThe survey course is a combination of instructor-led classroom sessions and independent student work with reading and writing assignments. In the focus seminars, students meet in smaller groups, with each group specializing in a particular area of international relations or globalization. Within each group students work in small project teams to complete challenging projects under the direction of the course instructors. The program culminates in a mini-conference in which the project teams present their work, and field questions from students on other project teams. Teams will also submit a written version of their presentation for evaluation by the course instructors.5 B" ]4 K& ^$ R9 y4 D, E: I
