TOPIC: ISSUE4 - "No field of study can advance significantly unless outsiders bring their knowledge and experience to that field of study."

The speaker claims that the knowledge and experience of oursiders are necessary of any field of study. I fundamentally agree with the speaker's claim. Moreover, I concede that the further and greater developments of a study field is resulted from the professional knowledge of its own.

Admittedly,a great number of significant of developments and discoveries which can make a influnce on a large extent in a realm come from the advanced theories and technologies in other realms.Let's take chemistry for instance.When it comes to elements discoveries,the theories and technologies which is newly advanced in the realm of physics can be indispensiable.The entire procedures of discovery of redioactive elements is directed by the redioactive theory; the detect of the element Rb. should be attribute to the improvement in technique in the realm of optics;and thanks to the invention of batteries,we become to realize the existence of alkali metals.By contrast,in absent of these advancements in physics, we can never detect such many new elements with the traditional approches in chemistry. Another good case in point is about the mathematician John Nash.John Nash,the famous mathematician in Prinston University,won the Noble Economic Prize in 1994,with his Nash Equilibrium.This theory provided the mathematical foundation to The Game Theory ,a sighnificant theory in the realm of econmy, and put the Game Theory into practice. All above could demonstrate that a study realm need outsider's knowledge to get progress, more or less.

By contrast,  a realm which cannot accept the advices and knowledge from the outsiders it could seldom get rapidly and steadily advanced, if any.It is similar to the level of individuals: individuals who are fully ignore of others advices cannot get real success,although they may be well some time. Chairman Mao of China is suitable to be mentioned as the representative of the kind. Although Chairman Mao did great contribution to China and Chinese people, however when a scolar named Ma Yin Chu proposed the Family Planning at the very beginning, Chairman Mao just took this important policy for granted,thus resulted in the population problem which annoy China and impede China's development now. So, this could prove that no matter individauls or realms both need the advices of outsiders on the other side.

Notwithstanding the foregoing reasons why the advices and knowledge can spark a boon for the advancement of any realm, the world's fact is that the main factor in a realm's developing is its own knowledge and research approaches.That is outsiders knowledge is only effective factors to a realm rather than determinative one.Therefore while we taking outsiders advices we should also be careful not to unduly depend on them and neglect our own knowledge. Consider, for example, without chemistry knowledge and approaches, only with the technologies in physics, how can we find out so many sorts of elements? If the Game Theory is not created, how can John Nash be successful in offering it mathematical foundation? These problem reflect that finally, the knowledge of a realm its own are much more vital than knowledge in other realms to its own advancement.

To sum up, I agree with the speaker that any study field, regardless of what it is, needs the knowledge from its outsiders on the way of developing. Moreover, in my view realms should still emphasize their own knowledges while refering outsider's knowledge and use them in a proper way. Only by doing so can a study field gets rapid, steady and vigorous development.
