Is it true that the value of civilization is represented by its artistic achievements rather than scientific accomplishments? When we were asked what our dream is as we were child, the frequently answered is no more than "scientists "or "artists". It is obviously that the whole society where we are living is constituted with much aspects rather than one. So it is wise that we still pay proper attention on others while emphasizing one dimension of society such as the accomplishments in art.

Admittedly, it is true that artistic achievements are precious and marvelous fruitful of a civilization. When someone mentioned a certain dynasty or time, it is very easy that those corresponded artistic creations come into our mind immediately, such sculpture figures, songs or pictures. What is more, it is seemed that the artistic achievements and creations have become necessity marks of a civilization. For example, Taj Mahal is representative of the archaic India, Along the river during qing ming festival is mentioned with Ming dynasty and the figure of David is refered with the Renaissant. With the creation of artists, we have been taught how to appreciate nature around us, enjoy the colorful of everyday life and discriminate beauty and goodness from a great number of elements. It is hardly to image that if no video or film to see after a whole hard work day and no music to relax our nervous and depression, even no books to read; what would be like of our life? Whether we would like to appeal: oh, give me music, give me films… who am I? I am living? Thus, it is very reasonable to say that artistic creations not only making us to realize the wonderful, colorful and happy of life, but also representing the level of civilization of a society indeedly.

At the same time, however, the accomplishments of scientific are equal important and demonstrate the civilization of a society as well. It is no denying that as a modern person in this developed society, we are fully enjoy the convenience resulting from improved technology and inventions by scientists or inventors. For example, the invention of cars. It is enable for us to explore and research wild places by taking cars rather than by foot or bicycle, and also make the people who live in remote places to work at other places, such as developed cities where is far from their house. And also mobile phone. It may be to say everyone could find us wherever we are at any corner of world where could accept radio signal only. We have to confess that we have been emancipated from the arduous work by using relevant machines so that we could pay more time on our interested things. In light of this statement, scientific achievements are also crucial aspect of a social civilization. Without the accomplishments deriving from science and technology, though artists are abundance with ideal and ambitions, they could not come them true,

In order to understand the overall civilization of a society, we should learn not only artistic creations, but also scientific accomplishments. Only by exploring civilization thoroughly can one really understand. Thus, it is necessary for us to realize that both arts and sciences profoundly effect the whole civilization of our society for arts and sciences producing different accomplishments so that where we are living is very colorful and prosperous.
