I think the speaker goes toextreme when s/he(?) claims that people learn just as much from watchingthe television as by reading books ,and hence that reading books is not asimportant as it once was .I agree that in some aspects television canbe more effective in learning .However ,in most aspects, when it comesto learning the television cannot substitute the books .
第一段理论很清楚
Admittedly, televisionstake on some superiority over books for propagating certain kinds ofknowledge. The television provide a more accurate details which a bookfails to do, because of the inherent limits that it (it指代不请)can't successiveand dynamic description of certain process as the film and recordedvideo do(前面没有as后面还用as干嘛,这句话没有谓语). For example, using the television-assisted pattern to teachthe physical education students is more efficient and effective than a books. The former can show the students a vivid vision about the wholeprocess of some sport activities, such as swimming, jumping, balancedbeam and so on. This teaching pattern is also suitable for arteducation, such as sculpturing, dancing and so forth .When it comes tolearning about the latest news or events something like NBA games, thespeaker's claims has some merit either(either ..or是固定句型,这里想表达也的意思可以用as well).
However, books in the formof papers still serves as the main means of learning .To begin with, books are potable than the heavy machines. You can carry a bookwherever and whenever it is ,while a TV set is inaccessible somewhereand sometime maybe because of a power failure or hardware problems. What's more, information which conveyed by the television programs areuncategorized most of the time and some information are totally junksof commercials. Some times the TV set can not give you the informationyou in eager need, which you can dig out easily in a specialized bookat a library or a book store. Finally, the book can give moreperspective and insight on certain information, which are very logicaland need deduction step by step .At these circumstances, books are thebest tools. For example, in order to figure out the meaning of a physicequation, you had better to resort to book and have a good scrutiny ofthe whole deductive process.
In sum, for purpose of P.E.and art education and learning about the news occurring recently, thetelevisions are undoubtedly helpful. On the other hand, the books givemore facilehelps in many ways which the TV sets cannot supply .In thefinal analysis, The(?) can use the two media altogether to take the advantage ofthem to learning more easily and more things(并列的不是一个层面的东西,more efficiently), let alone (let alone, not to mention是固定搭配)thinking thetelevision render book obsolete(不确定这中用法,如果你也没见过,最好不要自己创造). |
