Should today so much is new and complex that looking back for an understanding of the past provides nothing important for living in the present as the speaker asserts? It is true that in some respect some people would prefer to agree that understanding of the past is useless for the new and complex present life. While in my points of my view, I fundamentally disagree with the speaker's conclusion for some reasons substantiated by following discussion.

Admittedly, there are more and more situations human never encountered in the current society. According with the development of technology, it is impossible for us to escape the new and complex problems. For instance the ethics problems about euthanasia, homosexuality and human cloing have appeared in the stage of world, which are very different the problems human have dealt with. And the issue of how protect the environment, when developing the industry, has  been obtained more focus in the present. Facing these questions never occurred, seldom can we get a help from the past.

Nevertheless, when it comes to the value of forepassed experience, it is necessary for us to associate with the past. At the individual levels, a person who delve the history not only would know what the ancient created in the past, but would also learn what they falsely commit in the past and avoid committing the same mistakes in the present .At the social levels, by studying the ways of solving the economic inflation and depression, a government can prevent the same crisis from impeding development of society. At the national levels, Hilter and his Naism caused a horrible war to the German and other many people in the world, were a leader of Germany can truly cognized the harm of Hilter and hi Naism, he would be more careful to govern the country and deeply know the treasure of stability and peace.

Furthermore, it is not wise and justifiable to address problems simply referring the past. Nowadays, there is a set of varieties between the present and the past. We need to adjust according the specific situation .For example, in the past, the typical lecture approach where the professor imparts to the students and the students take it down and take it in has changed into a new lecture approach. This new approach emphasize that the most important part of education is this instruction of a man in what he has inside him. Accordingly, it is important to us to adjust our lecture approach based the past experience and newly specific acquirement.

In sum, without the past experience an individual, a society and a nation can advance themselves. It is arbitrary to asserts that looking back for an understanding of the past provides little guidance for living in the present. Moreover, The most important thing we should do is that sufficiently utilizing the past experience according current acquirement.

It is true that in some respect(respects) some people would prefer(people prefer) to agree that the understanding of the past is useless for the new and complex present(形容词顺序?) life. While in my points of(删掉) my view, I fundamentally disagree(一般都说fundamentally agree吧...有"基本不同意"么...) with the speaker's conclusion for some reasons substantiated by the following discussion(discussions).
