I am pleased to inform you that on the basis of your academic record, accomplishments, and letters of recommendation, and on the recommendation of Professor **, you have been awarded a Graduate Research/Teaching Assistantship in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at Drexel University for the Academic Year starting in the Fall Term 2008-2009. The Research/Teaching Assistantship pays a stipend of $1,700 per month for the first year (12 months) and also includes full tuition remission. Whether you will be doing a research assistantship or a teaching assistantship (or a mixture of both) will be determined in consultation with your thesis advisor, Professor **.
