In an era of rapid development of society, the value of history study tantalizingly is contradictory to the unprecedented fast pace of daily lives, and asks for a balanced answer. With capacity of foreseeing the future, the study of history values a lot in various respects not only in our daily lives.

Study of history retrospects the past, provides a guideline of our daily lives, and makes forecasts for the future. Since numerous great people and significant events appear in history and become inerasable through variety of recordings, the study of them tells the trend of human lives. By reading the arduous struggle of Franklin Roosevelt against disability, our persistence and resolution is inspired. By thinking over Socrate’s communication with Achaean ancestors, our philosophic wisdom is established gradually. By watching videos recording the whole Watergate matters, the basic cognition over American bureaucratic system and presidency is grasped. And by hearing Martin Luther King's famous speech, the thirsty of liberty and equal rights is deeply acquired. History reflects civilization’s revolution hitherto and provides easy access to previous knowledge if we pay sufficient attention to the study of it. All the efforts in this studying may not reveal the benefits immediately, but will surely be valuable in grasping the concept of our lives more precisely. Moreover, by gaining knowledge and doctrines from our forefathers, we will have adequate models for reference to achieve our own triumph in foreseeable future.

The study of history also contributes to the development of nature science. For instance, the study of archeology, one of the branches in history study, provides dominant statistics in evolution theory as well as zoology. When new cultural relics are discovered, it is the historians' responsibility to examine them and give general conclusion about the period, the owner as well as the reason to build them. After this basic evaluation about their historic value, historians will provide further statistics significant to study of architecture, anthropology and even philosophy. Since scientific breakthrough results not only from creation of new theories but also from combination of existing achievement, the study of history lends strong bolster to science.

Admittedly, the study of history is arduous odyssey throughout human history and requires sufficient fundamental knowledge as well as long-term efforts to accomplish certain theory. Thus, it is historians' responsibility to advance along the academic path while it is we public's mission to popularize their achievement. Mass media nowadays gives opportunity to strengthen popularization of them. By selecting articles in the study of history, by broadcasting videos that was cited in study of history, by collecting historians' papers to design new books in education, television, newspapers and institutions will add several lungs to the ladder of social development.

In conclusion, with historians' dedication in studying, we will surely witness its value pervades thoroughly in all level of society. And with mass media's efforts, historic achievement will certainly contribute to improvement of our lives.
