Two types of laws exist in the society, namely just and unjust, which we have a responsibility to obey the former while disobey the latter. Is this true as the speaker asserts? In my point of view, whether a law is just or not depends largely on how we render it, and in a democratic society, we should obey the law regardless of or own inclination.
In a modern society, laws in most cases reveal the requirement of the majority. Admittedly, we have laws and regulations that gradually losses its values and justness(justice) over time. Furthermore, whether a law is fair or not also lies in our standpoint. (good)There are entrepreneurs who believe taxes are too high, but there are also politicians arguing taxes should be levied to pave the roads and to build hospitals. Manufacturers complain about the too many requirements on environment-protection that impedes the development of factories while someone still appeals to the state on more confines added to the current law.(例子符合)
As it shows, the world will fall to chaos once everyone chooses to obey in his own will. In addition, the law has a goal to glue each and every individual and to make the world more effective and concord. Law is a necessity and a must when people live among others and have to sacrifice part of freedom in order to protect the most essential of our self-directness or autonomy.
What's more, law distinguishes itself by its coercive and formal aspect from other bounds as public opinion, mores, ethic, etc. Thus we violate the authority of law if we are to reject obeying it. Even if a law isn't satisfactory to most, once we disobey it, we acquiesce infringing other just and fundamental laws. Once the law is violated, the brutal conducts of Ku Klus Klan, for instance, is to be overlooked,(好象例子没办法论证观点,违法行为和反对不公正的法律之间有区别,需要进一步说明)
Rather, we can resort to other channels to fixing and updating laws. The law is adaptable and flexible to meet the requirements of the majority. In the United States, every district has a representative to the House chamber and every state has senates to whom citizen can appeal.[MS1] .
In conclusion, laws have a normative basis relevant to morality and they help protect the self-directness or autonomy. Laws are supposed to strike a balance between people of diverse interests. Actions other than legal proceedings to infract laws for whatever reason are unnecessary in modern world.
文章总体观点清晰,如果每段首句 TS能概括好这个段落的意思就更好了:)
