As an old saying goes: people created the history. Without people who joined, every historical event and trends could not be solely being. People are not only the director but also the actor and actress in the historical stage. So the speaker’s claim that groups of people possibly made the history stands on the correct philosophical side. Yet, when it comes to the material history research, view of the enormous works, we are forced to emphasis the study on individual. So speaker’s claim does not generally consider the difficulties we confronted.


Throughout the history form Troy war to World War II, from Archimedes’s crown to Galileo’s gravity test, form the Silk Road to internet freeway, all of them is as a result of he or she anticipated. At the same time, we should point that usually individual in history is fuse to leading to beginning of some events and trends and power to imputing the history development. Consider the famous idealist, such as the Mahatma Gandhi and Martine Luther King. Had these idealist own their the notions of ideal society, sway masses, and further incite revolution, the Indian perhaps would be British colony, and the African American perhaps would stand the racial policy. Some detractor may be claim that even without this idealist they Indian maybe get ride of the British government and the Blake in American will obtain their deserved right. Query whether this claim begs the question that the more lately they sever the history events, the more pain people suffer. Moreover, even if these idealists did not appear, there would be others stand against the unfair, who just not called Gandhi or Martine Luther King. So these individuals in history are so important that we have to record our history by their story and legend aimed at more clearly and exactly illustrating what happened in past.

However, I have to concede that nowadays, with the advance of science and technology(极恶俗开头), the information more convenience access and record. In some great events and trends, every amount of information about number anticipated is able to be recoded. And the development of media further impulse opening of private information. So what is the role whom he or she paled clearly is defined. The lead, though, still is focus of affair, the role of other members is not neglected. Consider recently happening in China so called human search, that through his or her the individual’s private information quickly and efficiently is revealed to internet, about the address, gender, real name, work and even social relationship. Such search is more powerful than the traditional search purely based on internet like Google because it incite the people to collect a certain information about the individual not like the traditional search process that we input some keywords to search engine, get myriad of results, and then analysis them.

In sum, I generally agree speaker’s claim that we long term forgot the functions of groups of people, and pay more attention to the individual. The overlooking groups is tied up to the lack of our record measure in past, after all, we can not expect our ancestor have the advantage record method like us. However, the development of record method results in making the speaker’s hope reality.
