Agree or disagree with the following statement: it is more important to award students for effort (trying or hard working) than for achievement (good grades)
We can not discuss the achievement without mentioning the effort, because they go hand in hand. While minority of accomplishment maybe depends on luck, majority comes from effor.from this point of view, effort,to some extent, should be more commendable than chievement. So I tend to sustain that awarding students for effort is better than for chievement. I will exlain my opinion based on the following reasons.

First of all, awarding students for their effor can encourage them to continue striving for their ideals. The road of leading to success is always full of sweat and tears. Many of students fail on this road because of spiritual frustration.they feel considerably disappointed and depressed, as they thought, without getting achievement, no one would recognize what they have payed for. But if we could give them some or even a little recognition and praise and just make them know that we are also notice them, they will be highly encouraged and stimulated to go on their goals.A typical example involves the running race, with the cheer of present audiences ,neally every students could reach the finish line, although their results vary a lot. but just imagine if there is no audience around, can they all reach the finish line? Probably, some of them will quit.

In the next place, Not all of students are expert in study and also have same level of knowledge and intellect,so setting a so called good-grades criterion for students is tremendously unfair. As a matter of fact, the regulation of rewarding students for good-grades can only contribute a small part of students who are skillful with getting high marks to learning.
In contrast,to award students for their effort is more reasonable and could situmlate all students to further efforts. Because althought not every students can hold the opportunity to get good grades, every students can try their best to approach to their goals. Therefore, in this way, the reward system would be really beneficial to all students.

All in all, students will be perseverant in achieving their goals if they are awarded by their efforts. Besides, to every students, awarding students for efforts in more fair and reasonable
