   Throughout the evolution of mankind society, poblems whether worldwide or parochial one have consistantly gone with man's lives. With the progress of both technology and social theory, it is possible for people around the world to solidarize to tackle the world's most persistent social problems.
   To begin with, all-out effort of the intellegence from every corner around the world would help establish a full-fledged solution to deal with some pressing issues. Intelligent as human beings are, what obstacles the progress mostly toward solving the most fretting issues would owe to the fact that people do not collaborate much to some extent. Recources exist in developed countries; problems may spread over the world. Such situation would hamper the real recognition of the questions. For example, population issue almost exists in every countries. Yet, what kind solution would be most effective and can be applied to all? Social scholars may still try to find a better model irrespective of the existing one. While some may argue that population issue differ according to each countries. It is true. What concerns the China government most is the enormous quantity of population, which takes up 1/6 of the total of the world; whereas Canada is taking advantage of every possible approach to acrue its overall population. Such difference do occur; what I want to remind is that by knowing the detail of every possible aspect of one issue can one most likely discover the general rule that serve to deal with the issue. A global university would help people from every corner to get together, discuss their issues, find the difference as well as the common stuff, then accomplish it.
   A second benefit concerning the establishment of the global university is promote the communication from different areas, which helps bridge the gap of distinct culture that might cause conflict. As one of the persistent social problems involves the conflict of several national groups due to the religion belief or other history problems, to solve such issues would fundamentally start from the culture diversity. International terrorism which led to the 911 event is mainy caused by the bifurcation of social value between the west and the mideast. They do not share a common belief, and don't appreciate the other. By establishing a global university, it is possible to know better the culture including religion, social value, common belief and the like, which would possibly eliminate the basic prejudice, and finally bring about a better future.
   Nevertheless, the set up of a global university would also pose certain problems which need to take care. Understandably, wealth is not well distributed around the world, which, therefore, make it hard for some countries to devote certain finance to the global university. While some may argue that it is not necessary to devote equal quantity of money to the global university; rather, the developed ones could spend more, while the less developed ones little. It is feasible, however, such method would, very possibly, raise discrimination as well as prejudice. Because, at certain circumstances, the resources would be definite, while problems take place simultaneously, which might call for a priority to settle them. As experience tells, such situation would  very likely instigate prejudice, or disparity, occur. Besides, the bureaucratic routine may also throatle many great ideas from some gifted scientist. All such possible situations should take into consideratio when deciding to set up such a global university.
   In sum, the development of a global university would, at a large scale, serve to solve the world's persistent social problems; however, it would also raise some problems. Only by taking full consideration of every aspect, can a global university really serve its purpose.
