Hardly can people reach a consensus on the contentious debate which one is more decisive for a student, arts or science? Individually speaking, arts and science are inseparable. Since, arts cultivates one’s internal quality, and science makes us get acquainted to the world. Nonetheless, I prefer to choice science rather than do arts.

First of all, studying science is a precondition to grasp survival skills. Mathematics is the basic for all the science fields. Many prominent economists and computing experts used to be dedicated to mathematics. Furthermore, the science is a cornerstone on which society keeps evolving. Extent civilization is grounded on two pivotal points, inherititing and innovation, between which the latter one is more important. Innovation is a determinant to our life, and it makes our life more convenient. In the history, the three crisis in our society are mostly determined by science.

Whereas, by no means does my foregoing elaboration tend to prove that arts is senseless. Arts is, if merely judged from its contributions to society, not to exaggerate, of vital importance. In that the arts is the reflecting of human spirit. Some literatures, such as shakespeare’s and plato’s, are the essence of human wisdom, which make our spiritual fields richer. However, we must be aware that some literatures are written by losers. These writers are pessimistic and are less active, and their books might affect the readers’ style of writing as well as their attitudes toward the world, which makes their lives less colorful.

In conclusion, arts and science are both two shining pearls of human intelligence. They get our life and society more interesting and modern. Nonetheless, science is more critical, it devotes more to human than arts does. That is why I consider science is more significant to human than arts.
