ISSUE40 - "Scholars and researchers should not be concerned with whether their work makes a contribution to the larger society. It is more important that they pursue their individual interests, however unusual or idiosyncratic those interests may seem."

  Should scholars and researchers concerns exclusively on individual interests? Or should they also share some concentration on whether their work makes a contribution to the large society? In my opinion, scholars and researchers should striking a balance between individual interests and social profit.

  To begin with, people’s concerns on their interests always contribute to the development of the large society. History replete examples to support this opinion, Newton dedicated his life on the research of physical world and finally distilled three theories of Dynamic; Warren E. Buffett’s interest in stock market enable him became to the first magnete of the world and the only people contribute to 370,000 million dollars to charities. Danish scientist Niels Finsen won the Nobel Prize in Physiology and Medicine for his invention of “sunlight therapy" which directly derived from his interests on cats loveness to sleep under the sun. And now the “sunlight therapy” are recognized internationally and enjoyed great popular. These great contribution and invention are all based on individual concerns on personal interests, and are all propellor for the construction of well society.   
  Besides, the histation in encourage of unusual and idiosyncratic interests should not be overstate for several reasons. Firstly, some times people regard certain interests as unusual and idiosyncratic because the interests are more inclined to advanced point of views that could not be admitted or accepted by existing theories or principals. Secondly, those critic to the unusual and idiosyncratic interests could also due to the wrong conceives relevant to previous knowledge. The experience of challenge of Earth-centered theory by Copernicus’s research is properly illustrate the point of view.

Admittedly, some interests might lead to unaffordable results by contemporary knowledge and techniques systems regardless wether the interests is unusual or idiosyncratic . The typical example include controversial issue of Clone, with the precedent of clone sheep, the Clone research is not an unprecedental experiment. Yet the embryo research might contribute to human beings proliferation, however, the results of this research interests would also lead to broken down of human beings moral and ethical standards , nor could any people to afford the possible disaster of large population of malformation derived from the research interests.
  
Therefore, scholars and researchers should be encouraged to pursue their interests as they might contribute to the well construction of society, meanwhile, scholars and researchers should be aware of the concussion it brings to the society, the interested research area should obey social need.

Secondly, those critic (critiques?) to the unusual and idiosyncratic interests could also due to the wrong conceives (这个是动词……) relevant to previous knowledge. （这句也有语法问题,due没有动词词性） The experience of challenge of Earth-centered theory by Copernicus’s research is properly illustrate (properly illustrates) the point of view. 感觉这段没有上一段写得好，而且错误也稍微多了一点。可能你比较适合写论据不适合论证，我也是这样，呵呵。而且那两个理由在我看来有重复的地方，总之就是那些奇思妙想与现实不match啊。如果我写的话，可能把那两个观点总结成一个，然后把Copernicus的例子展开写，然后再说这个也是对社会的contribution。

大方向没什么问题，感觉小错误比较多，单词语法还有待加强啊。另外，我不知道你是不是医学专业的（看clone那段还挺像的，而且还用了一个Nobel Medicine Prize），如果是的话，你可以利用专业优势多写一些复杂的专业术语。我只是听新东方老师说有n多生词、难词容易得高分。
