Topic:  If  a  goal  is  worthy, then  ay  means  taken to  attain  it is justifiable


According to the  title statement 。If  a goal is worthy, then any means  taken  to attain it is justifiable . Although the idealist  way is to achieve the noblest goal through the noblest means , in reality   we sometimes have to resort to low means in order to attain high goals  .

Theoretically, the means taken should be consistent with the ends in view .In fact, the great            happiness of  life is to work hard for the goal and at last attain it  .But looking around ourselves,    we  will   easily  find  that  there so many  people  without  goal  of life  in   our  society, in  other   words,  they  don't  know  what  they   require,  why they  live for ,and who they  are , that it is      commonly  to  see  the  men  who  random  on  the   road  all  day   even  some   may  become     beggar  . Among  those  people  .there  is  a   particular  group  in  our society  who   attract  extremely attention  from   all  fields  of  society.As  the  chairman  of   china  ---hujintao  said,  the        problem  of  youth  in  our society  is  against  over  all  other  problems  ; Solving   the  problem   of    youth  is  just  solving  the biggest  problem of society. Therefore  ,we  should  cherish  our      goals  insist  on  it ,and  work  hard  for  it  no  matter  what  a  difficult  problem  it  is, we should   try  our  best  to  attain  it  by  all  means   

However  in  order  to  restore  peace  and  social  order  individual  states  or  the  international   community  has repeatedly  used  force  in  history .  Indeed  whether  certain  means  is  justifiable   in  reading  the  goal must  be determined  on  a  case-by-case  basis, by  weighing  the  benefits    of  attaining  the  goal  against  the  costs,  or  harm  that  might  accrue  along  the  way  ,There is  no  inadequate  examples  in  human  history  on  such  case  whether  in  China  , America  or     other  countries  in  the  world.  French  emperor, Bonaparte  Napoleon,  is  the  typical  figure  who  just  for  his  political  goal,  don't  care  the  people  whether  living  a  bad  life  in  his  country. To  the  important,  he  take  the  flag  of  serving  the  peace  of   world.  we  all  know  that  each     moment  in  history  is  a  fleeting  time  , but  people  in  his     country  even  in  the  world  won't  forget  him  '  for  the  hard   life  they  lived  

we  should  be  alert  to  the  possibility  that  individuals    organizations  or  governments  tend  to  plead  a  worthy  goal  in  excuse  of  their  contemptible  means  and   selfish  interests.  simply  put  ,  on  a  societal  level  we  determine  the             worthiness  of  our  goals  in  much  the  same  way--by  weighing  competing interests  For  instance,  any  thoughtful  person  would  agree  that   reducing  air  and  water  pollution  is  a  worthy  societal   goal;    dean  air  and  water  reduce  the          burden  on  life  for  everyone  in  society Yet  to  attain  this  goal  would  be  justified  in  forcing  entire  industries  out  of     business  thereby  ruing  the  risk  of  economic  paralysis  and   widespread  unemployment. at  the  same  time   The  same    to  the  individual  goals  who  think  obeying  environmental  protection  laws  that   call  for  clean  air costs  industry  money  that  could  otherwise  be  realized  as  profit

In  sum  up   the  speaker   begs  the  question,  The  worthiness  of  any  goal  should  be  determined  cautiously  whether  it  be  personal  or  societal  by  weighing  the  benefits  of  achieving  the   goal   for  using  low  means  in  order  to  attain  high  goals   against   its  coasts  -- - to  us  as   well  as  others
