Do you agree or disagree: People can learn more from watching television than reading books.

Watching television and reading books are two means we may use to get information. As to the question which can enable people to learn more, my answer is watching television.

First, for people who are not able to read very well, watching TV is an effective and efficient way to acquire needed information. My little brother is only six years old. He spends most of his time watching TV, most of the program being cartoons. Almost all the information he gets is from watching television. For a lot of senior citizens in China, reading books is a hard and time consuming way to get information. My grandfather is literate, however, it takes him too much time to finish reading a short paragraph in a book. So, he prefers watching television, which provides him facilities to understand more information in a much shorter period of time.

Second, even to people who are well educated and have no difficulty reading books, watching TV is more convenient and entertaining form to know more about science, culture, technology, history. Watching TV is usually considered an entertainment, because it brings a lot pleasure. We enjoy ourselves while having fun. Therefore, more people like watching television more than reading books for the reason that television is a good combination of scenes and sounds. So, watching television gives people greater impression. I can still remember beautiful and persistent Scarlet, the heroine in “Gone with the Wind”, a movie that I watched almost ten years ago. Although before watching the film, I had already read the book, the greatest impression that remained in my mind is the character on screen.

Nowadays, too much exposure to television has been criticized by a lot of experts in educational fields, for coach potatoes usually spend too much time gazing at screen, leaving little time for other activities. I also have to admit watching too much TV prevents us from deep thinking. However, my point is that watching TV helps us to learn more, and of course, “to learn more” is not equal to “to learn better”.
So, if we want to more deep and thorough study on one filed, it is better to choose reading books.

Watching television and reading books are two means we may use to get information. As to the question (of)which can enable people to learn more, my answer is watching television.

First, for people who are not able to read very well, watching TV is an effective and efficient way to acquire needed information. My little brother is only six years old. He spends most of his time watching TV, most of the program being cartoons. Almost all the information he gets is from watching television(这个例子只是说他的很多知识来自看电视,但是并没有和读书进行比较,比如说他是不是不读书也有很多知识). For a lot of senior citizens in China, reading books is a hard and time consuming way to get information. My grandfather is literate, however, it takes him too much time to finish reading a short paragraph in a book. So, he prefers watching television, which provides him facilities to understand more information in a much shorter period of time.

Second, even to people who are well educated and have no difficulty reading books, watching TV is more convenient and entertaining(这个词用的好!) form to know more about science, culture, technology, history. Watching TV is usually considered an entertainment, because it brings a lot pleasure. We enjoy ourselves while having fun. Therefore, more people like watching television more than reading books for the reason that television is a good combination of scenes and sounds. So(In addition), watching television gives people greater impression.(这应该是另外一个观点,前面说更有趣,后面说印象更深) I can still remember beautiful and persistent Scarlet, the heroine in “Gone with the Wind”, a movie that I watched almost ten years ago. Although before watching the film, I had already read the book, the greatest impression that remained in my mind is the character on screen (印象深刻和学到更多东西好像关系不大,建议可以说说你看电视以后更有兴趣去学习更多的相关知识)
Nowadays, too much exposure to television has been criticized by a lot of experts in educational fields, for coach potatoes usually spend too much time gazing at screen, leaving little time for other activities. I also have to admit watching too much TV prevents us from deep thinking. However, my point is that watching TV helps us to learn more, and of course, “to learn more” is not equal to “to learn better”.(这段一定要放在开头,这是你这篇文章的基础)
So, if we want to more deep and thorough study on one filed(study more deeply and thoroughly), it is better to choose reading books.

总的印象是LZ思路还是挺清晰的,语言也比较流畅,质量不错.30分钟内能写成这样很不容易啊,我就老超时,受不了了,一起加油!!
