老超时，今天卡着deadline写的~~我的天啊，我自己都不知道写个什么东东:funk:
Modern society has become more complex, so it is essential for the young people to have the ability to plan and organize. （2007.7.21,技术进步与成功)

The ability to plan and organize is absolutely an aaset for today's people.

First, modern society calls for people with the ability ro plan and organize. Modern society means not only sprawling urban areas, high buildings, super-large department stores, but also increasingly detailed and complicated social division of labor. No longer is one person able to be master of every trade in society, yet the completion of a task entails expertise from different fields, therefore, people with the ability to plan and organize are needed. For example, my supervisor, a well known linguist in China, once said that he knew only a neglegible part of linguistics. Experts on syntax may have great difficulty in understanding the lastest theory in semantics. Even within the research field of syntax,  theoretical researchers may use the methodology quite different from that use by applied researchers. We have a lot of specialists, however people who can have a overall understanding of the development in each branch of linguistics are scarce. As language is a integretion of voice, meaning and structure, focus on only a detailed part will inevitably lose the whole scene. As a result, when I was learning linguistics, my supervisor gave special assignment on the understanding of general linguistics.

Second, the ability to plan and organize allows young people to fulfill all tasks efficiently. In the past, college students didn't have to worry about finding jobs after graduation, as a college diploma qualified them as social elets. However, in order to find a satisfactory job, today's college students have to learn how to drive, how to operate computers, etc besides be good at acdemic study. It is said modern people without mastering driving and computers are considered "illiterate". From this case, we may see, nowadays, we young people have more to accomplish in order to go abreast with the development of society. Then the question is how? With so many requirements waiting for us to meet, how possibly can we fulfill all of them? The critical key, in my opinion, lies in our ability to plan and organize. Making scientific plans for tasks is the first step towards final success, and organizing all tasks in a systematical way ganrentees that we can finish all work within given time.

小鬼,感觉你今天把重点放在modern society的特点上了,最后一段尤其明显,只是说因为有这些特点,所以plan很重要,但没有联系起来.不过语言还是一如既往的好.这篇文章确实不好写!我写的也超烂:funk:
