I definitely agree that a teacher should pay more attention to help student establish self-confidence than to teach specific knowledge. I will try to demonstrate my viewpoint in following paragraphs.

First, I strongly believe that whether a student can achieve success in the study mainly depend on the subject factors, among which the most important one is self-confidence. Though teaching and learning specific knowledge is significant, a student's confidence towards study problems can help him to obtain the basic quality in further study. Take myself for example; I once failed in several examinations in a period of my high school. How disappointed I was after these shocking. I nearly can not concentrate my attention in class. Just at this moment, Mr. Zhang, my mathematics teacher encouraged me to forget the failures before. He told me that we all should look forward and looks more at the positive aspects of everything. Thanks to Mr. Zhang's guidance, I finally came out of the depression after some adjustments.

What's more, weighing with cultivating students' ability, confidence as an example, the teaching of specific knowledge is more or less not so important. For the phrase when a person takes the role to study specific knowledge is just about fifteen years, while be confidential and brave to face the life is much longer. If we consider in a long-term perspective, it is easy for we to agree with that it is more crucial for a teacher to help students to gain self-confidence than to teach knowledge. If a teacher always stresses on the learning of knowledge, I can infer that the student undertaking this type of education will become a barrel of mass knowledge, but limited in handling with things in the daily life.

In conclusion, though teaching knowledge is one of the basic responsibilities of the teachers, they should make more efforts in helping the students to gain self-confidence.

谢谢qawsed的修改，我现在也觉得自己在词汇上是一个问题，有时候是想得到写不到啊！现在还有一个月时间考试，我个人觉得也就只能背一些高级词汇了，但愿可以应对考试吧。
subject factors是想指“主观因素”，但是确实用错了，subject是名词，按照我的本意，应该用subjective。但是不知道这样对不对。subjective与objective相对，当时也想过用internal的~~
