汽车在未来20年内会不会减少

It has long been put into qualm in deciding whether the use of automobile will decrease in the next 20 years. In my perspective, I assert that the decrease is inevitable and I will explore some essential reasons as follow.

The main reason for my propensity to the decrease is that the price of fuel which provides energy to the automobile is on the rise. In one hand, as we all know, fuel is a kind of energy that cannot be renewed. The less such energy resource become, the higher the price goes. In other words, the increase of the price cannot be avoided. In the other hand, people would change their way out from driving cars to taking buses and subways to evade the high cost. Thus, the use of cars will be less than before.

Another essential reason involves the pollution the automobiles generate. Firstly, poll after poll shows that pollution caused by automobiles contributes a lot to the air pollution. What is more, the Global Warming which is deeply detrimental to human beings is largely due to pollution from the cars and motorbikes. Thus, some countries have already begun to limited the number of new cars the factories produce in order to avoid such pollution. Secondly, with the growing awareness among people about protecting the environment from being polluted, more and more people would like to give up their plan of buying new cars.   

In addition, traffic jams among the cities are also an undeniable reason that can cause the decrease use of cars. Such problem is especially serious in big cities like Beijing in China. Almost every business day in this city we could see cars and trucks and motorbikes trapped in the road for the reason that there are too many automobiles for the road to support. As far as I am concerned, there is a trend that people begin to use some other transportation to evade such terrible traffic jam such as taking subways.

To sum up, I am sure that the use of automobiles will decrease in the future considering the high price of fuel, the pollution caused by automobiles and traffic jams in current days.
