In today's world, to speak well is more important than to write well. Agree or disagree. (2007.1.16)

Communication technically consist of four part --- listening,reading,speaking and writing.Speaking and writing functionally output imformation while the rest two input. Although speaking and writing share similar function,we can't deny that the ability to speaking well becoming increasingly important in people's life.

People used to write a lot when communication technology were not developed well enough to achieve the demand of the society. Today mailbox is rare in big cities or often full of useless advertisement papers. Nowadays we talking to the air everywhere --- mobile phone is prevailing and already replaced the letters as the main tool to communicate.Since people speak much more than write, no wonder we emphasis the importance of speaking and practice it to better meet the need of the mutiple and confusing world.

Moreover, people who speak well can influence others more effectively and efficiency. Informations especially better exchanged ones are crucial in decision making. A good speaker can always entertain listener by the informations he vividly delivered.In presidential election, presidential candidate strive to perform excellent in the debate broadcasted on TV and network.In fact, all the final winners are those who can earn the loyalty, trust, and supports from electorate with their skillful and passionate speeches.Another instance, writing a book of your systemic viewpoint and attitude in a certain field may costs several years to prepare and revise. Holding a lecture or in a simple way,chatting with others apparently is less complicated and often more useful----writers  are most aware of this.They attend interviews to "Talk" about their new books to guarantee aggressive selling.

Also,in the consideration of reliability, to speak well is more important .Since people have less time to prepare when talking, instant response is more likely to reflect one's true ability. Convincing resume and passing written examination are prerequisites in job hunting,however,it is the performance of your speaking section in following series of interviews that determine whether you could get employed or not.Many major company even introduced phone interview in human resource department to get a better understanding of a person's comprehensive ability.
