People work because they need money to live. What are some other reasons that people work? Discuss one or more of these reasons. Use specific examples and details to support your answer.

Working is a crucial part in our lives for several reasons. Different individuals will prefer to various priorities due to their background and experiences if they are asked to arrange a prior order of their reasons to work. In my perspective, I regard two as the foremost considerations apart from financial aspect.

First and most importantly, I consider interest as a significant reason that people work. It is hard to imagine living a life without interest, which is the resource of energy and passion and the motivation of progress. If some one is getting involved into something he is truly interested, he will take no hesitation to dedicate all his energy and effort. So many people choose to work for the reason of interest so that they can work in a positive way rather than regard it boring and tiring. History is full of examples for this point of view. For example, in the field of arts, van gogh, one of the most famous painters in the world who had merely sold two paints during his entire life, chose this career only for the sake of enthusiasm.

Another reason that people work is they can keep in touch with the society at their times. Unlike the ancient ancestors who lived in collective lives, the existing generations is living in a family-based lifestyle, which suggests that people have not much chance to communicate with other individuals who is not the family number. Working outside, on the other hand, can provide people more opportunities, to communicate and cooperate with various people, so that they learn how different individuals feel and behave, and what’s more, he can share the joy and sadness with each other. In this sense, working makes colorful people’s lives.

In sum, interest and communication are the two prior considerations for me to think that people choose a career, which will definitely bring passion and energy and make work more colorful.
