There are many resources of news and information in the world. It's difficult to know whom to believe and what is truth.谈一下你的观点(2005 年12 月17 日)


With the development of technology,people are able to contact much more news and information than ever before.Some of the them may be true.But some are not.The difficulty to determine who tell the truth and what is right depend on which type of the information and news belong to.

For the information from science,it is much easier to give a judge if it is right. They can be demonstrated by three ways: experiences,reasoning,and experiments.If the information given are not accordance with our experiences and logics,they are much possible to be wrong.For example,can water be converted to oil? If we are aware of the difference of chemical composition between water and oil.We can determine that it is impossible. Another effect method is by experiments.We could observe the result of the theory by experiments.For example,it is common accepted in Aristotle 's time that things of different weights fall at different speed.To know the truth,Galileo had done his famous experiments in the Eiffel Tower.He dropped two different weight balls at the same height to ground,which demonstrate the balls fell at the same speed.After the experiment,the truth was clear.

However,when it comes to human interactive activities,it is not easy to demonstrate who is right.One cause is that most of people do not have the special way to get information except mass media to know the truth.In other words,They do not have the access to get Secret Service's information or they do not hire detectives.For example,US former president Bill Clinton has said he did not have illegal sex relationship to Lewinsky. Nonetheless,he told a lie.To the mass,it is impossible to know the real relationship of them if there is not exposed sex tape.

Another cause is that individual can not be  a specialist in all fields. If  food contains  some harmful but being no tasteless,colorless and odorless,people except food specialists can not find anything suspect.For example,in Chinese,there are melamines in milk powder,which lead to a serious consequence that many infants have stones in their kidneys.But before the scandal is exposed in September,who know there are melamines in the milk? I have drunk milk for years so I am also a victim.

The third cause is that there exits some people who want to conceal the truth and deceit people in order to get a lot of profit illegally and loss administration.There are many counterfeit goods in Chinese market.Under lax regulation,there are also full of exaggerated advertising propaganda about weight loss pills on TV or Internet.The custom who believe the advertisement may not only loss money but also their health.

In conclusion,it is easy to demonstrate the validity of the scientific theory.But to people's daily life ,they do not have the third eye to see the world and sufficient knowledge to know everything.So it is difficult to judge.Further,there are many cheaters.If we do not want to be deceived,people have to be careful.Even to do so,deceit always exists.

The third cause is that there exits(exists) some people who want to conceal the truth and deceit(用动词形式deceive) people in order to get a lot of profit illegally and loss administration(这个是什么意思?).There are many counterfeit goods in Chinese market.Under lax regulation,there are also full of exaggerated advertising propaganda about weight loss pills(slimming pills) on TV or Internet.The custom(customers) who believe the advertisement may not only(not only放在lose后面好些) loss(lose) money but also their health.
In conclusion,it is easy to demonstrate the validity of the scientific theory(也不容易呀,我们祖先相信天圆地方这个理论相信了几千年).But to people's daily life ,they do not have the third eye to see the world and sufficient knowledge to know everything.So it is difficult to judge.Further,there are many cheaters(??).If we do not want to be deceived,people have to be careful.Even to do so,deceit always exists.
