Do you agree or disagree: Governments should spend more money in support of arts than in support of athletics such as state-sponsored Olympic teams.

Nowadays, as the dramatic development of economy in every country, people believe that arts and athletics have being both playing more and more significant role. Some people assert government should pay more attention and money to support art while others hold the opposite opinion. As far as I am concerned I definitely agree with the point that our government should spend more money in support of athletics.

The chief reason for my preference for this choice is that it is beneficial for our economy to give more support to athletics. No one can deny the fact there are a great deal of commercial values involved in sports. However, the prerequisite for a team to attract commercial sponsorship is a good achievement which is largely related with the aid from the government. It is the money from the government, especially in the original stage of a sport, which helps the players to purchase athletic equipments for their discipline which may guarantee good performance in the international games. When the team is famous because of good game they play, it may receive a lot of sponsorship, which means great amount of tax at the same time.

The second reason why I agree with this idea is that government should spend more money on sports is that it is helpful for a athletics, especially for those which are not so popular among people, to be popularized to more people to improve their health. Because the number of people who take part in one sport largely depends on the popularity degree of it. To illustrate this point, here is a good example that is very persuasive. For years ago when most of people in China know quite little about fencing, Chinese government spent a lot of money inviting a prominent French coach for the National team, four years later, Zhongman won the first gold metal for China in fencing game in 29th Olympic Games, as a result, fencing rapidly become one of the most popular games among Chinese people so that more and more people choose to do fencing in their spare time which benefits their health mentally and physically.

Although arts also influences us a lot, such as releasing stress of people and inspiring one's creativity, more advantages can be generated by spending more money in support of athletics. We can also relieve our pressures from work and study through playing, if there are enough courts around our communities which are created by our government. One the other hand, we can also get inspiration from sports.

All in all, supporting sports is beneficial to our economy and people's health. Why does not a government spend more money on sports or even on a team if such action may impulse its country to fast develop? Therefore, our government should aid athletics by giving them more money.

(总觉得这段论点不充分，商业价值不能作为选择运动的理由，因为艺术同样有商业价值。我觉得应该多写一些投资运动和投资艺术所产生的不同效果，必须是运动有而艺术没有的，且在论述这个观点时，一直重复，没有具体的例证)
