提纲:good for human nature
1.       get first-hand info from them
2.       involved in scientific research
3.       however, somewhat inhumane

Study of animals has long been a practice in medical science. So far, this practice has sparked spirited controversy among practitioners and public as a whole. Some people maintain that such study is cruel and unnecessary. As far as I am concerned, their view is only partly true.

To begin with, study of animals provides us with first-hand information about some particular disease. For instance, the vaccination against AIDS was conducted on gorillas to prove whether it is applicable on human beings. Since the experiment subjects----members of the primate group such as gorilla in this case resemble important features of Homo sapiens, the results of the experiments often turn out to be accurate and convincing. Nevertheless, if the tests on living animal are forbidden, we can only obtain the information by experimenting on human bodies, which is hardly possible. Consequently, people on this planet shall be tortured forever by AIDS, cancer and other fetal diseases alike.

In the second place, evidence abounds that the study of animal is an indispensable part of scientific research. Taking the drug experimentation for example, it is undeniable that animal tests are far more effective than that on bacteria in determining drug safety. Once pharmaceutical companies conduct experiments on mammals to ascertain the toxicity of their products, potential grave side effects of the drugs can be verified and sidestepped by consumers. In the long run, this is considerably beneficial to the health of human beings.

Admittedly, some study of animals may be performed callously without any heed to the discomfort or pain that laboratory mammals endure. Also ,disruption of nature biological functions of the test animals is likely to arise.

To sum up, I strongly believe that animals contribute a lot to the healthy development of humans. And certain measures should be introduced to keep the negative effects on animals to the minimum.

Since the experiment subjects----members of the primate group such as gorilla in this case resemble 什么意思?members resemble features,好像有点搭配问题important features of Homo sapiens, the results of the experiments often turn out to be accurate and convincing. Nevertheless, if the tests on living animal are forbidden, we can only obtain the information by experimenting on human bodies, which is hardly possible. Consequently, people on this planet shall be tortured forever by AIDS, cancer and other fetal diseases alike.

In the second place, evidence abounds?prove that the study of animal is an indispensable part of scientific research.
