, l. P: J+ W- E2 }( J( ^I agree to a certain extent that we are least willing to listen to advice when we most need it. The times that we usually need advice from others is when we face troubles or experience down time. Everyone will inevitably experience horrible times in life, which is like a rollercoaster ride. When we feel that everything seems wrong and out of the world, this is probably the period of time that we truly need advice from trust worthy people. For me, I believe that a person’s willingness to listen to advice depends greatly on the seriousness of the situation and circumstances he is in.

  i9 ~- ]$ C! v, ?' eFor most people, I feel that they will call for necessary help and truthful advice when facing their bane, rather than keeping their troubles to themselves and keep their eyes shut to incoming advice. When the odds are against us, people either choose to flee or fight with more power. Under right circumstances where we do not lose our senses, we will judge the advice and will probably be influenced by it if we feel that the advice is right. Now let us imagine a more casual scenario. During a friendly chess match, two friends are playing with another two watching the game. The black side is in distress and his onlooking friends each gave him advice on which move to go next and how to deal with the situation. In friendly and casual settings like this, the person with odds against him will be influenced his friends advice, thus leading to sway judgement of the game’s situation.

Whereas in dire real life situations when we get frustrated, we are highly unlikely to open our ears for advice. This is the time where our ego works and a surge of adrenaline make us feel that we can succeed even without advice. For example, a new unfamous writer has just submitted his or her manuscript to the publisher. The publisher and editor rejected to publish the book and gave him some follow up advice. Thus from this example, we know that the writer on the receiving end, will surely not take heed to the advice but feel a sense of rejection. These experiences are vivid to most writers, such as J.K. Rowling, whose first Harry Potter book and ideas faced lots of rejectin from critics. I feel that this the time that we need not and will not listen to much advice. If everyone do listen to advice too often, we will suffer a great loss in literature and art, where great works will not even be published.

倒不是特意想写长或者写短，主要还是有时候觉得有东西写，有时候又不知道写什么，边写边想，控制不好。
