写得颇乱,题目很是模糊……不知道是不是我写得这个意思

12.18日作业Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? People are busy doing different things that they can do few things well.(2007.3.3)

The schedule of modern citizens seems increasingly hectic: numerous meetings to attend and to be held , continuous works to arrange and to be finished, even children cannot be exempted from this trend. With all these complex tasks at hand, many people claim that at no circumstance they could do different things well. From my personal experience and perspective, people could handle things in paralle pretty well.

Firstly, time schedule is the key to effectively handle different tasks simultaneously. The simple yet effective method is to arrange schedule and allocate more time and energy to things that are intricate and urgent. However, this approach is widely ignored by people. Even someone are aware of it, most of them fail to adopt it into practice. My roommates failed in history and got C- in other 4 couses last semester. He attributed his failure to 5 examinations in one week which left him little time to prepare. Actually, in the middle of last semester, he was quite idle. If he could prepare a little earlier and put more time on hisory, this failure is avoidable.

Apart from objective fact that you cannot change, efficiency is a crucial ability that you can improve. In most cases, people are not actually running out of time, it is their low efficiency lead to time deficiency. If you are preparing final examination, an environment full of noise and temptation such as TV and games is definitely not suitable. With those distraction, most of us cannot fully concentrate. And thus the low efficiency is inevitable. My classmates who have 5 examination yet still ace in those examinations know it pretty well, they fully focus on their preparation, separating themself clearly to my roommate who always study while listen to music.

Sometimes nothing can be done well simply because they indeed cannot be carried out simultaneously by your personal ability. As the complexity has go beyond your ability, the wise choice is dropping some of the tasks and focusing on the remains. My roommate should know the impossibility to pass 5 examinations in one week. However, he refuse to make some adjustment and overestimate his own capability. Therefore, failure is ensured by his stupid behavior.

In conclusion, we can manage different things synchronously fairly well. All your need are reasonable time schedule, high efficiency and moderate judgement of personal ability.

He attributed his failure to 5 examinations in one week which left him little time to prepare. Actually, in the middle of last semester, he was quite idle. (觉得这段和论点联系不够紧密,有点跑题偏重讲efficiency,最好能和multitask联系更紧一些吧,多一句话也好)
