In modern society,the public traffic is becoming more and more convenient.There are plenty of transportation tools for people to choose from when they need to move from one site to another,such as bus,subway,taxi and so forth.Accompany with the prosperity of the public transportation,here comes an arguement that whether people should pay to use them or not.Personally,I would definitely say yes.

        First,as you can see,the public transportation in every country is a so complex and huge project that always needs lots of years to finish,including the maintanence work.A large portion of budget of a government would be taken to meet the need of public transportation,which is heavy load for the government.The fact is,it is extremely hard for government to keep the public transportation system work well without the support of massive population.Only if all of us devote a small part of our income to the system,that is,we pay to use it,then our government could have enough fund to build newer and much more developed transportation for the public,and also could maintain the old tools to make them in order.

        Moreover,we live in a commercial society,the basic rule of which is that if we make use of a service then we shoul pay for it.The public transportation system is crucial for our daily lives,like television,telephone and so on,so it's normal for us to pay for them when we benefit from them,which is equal and reasonable.

        Finally,the cost of the pay would not affect ordinary people's daily lives.For instance,in my own city,when I want to go downtown from my school,I only need to pay two Yuan for the bus which is relatively low compared with other commodities for me.As I know,the price of public transportation in every country is low and reasonable,and would not bother the public.In my opinion,we should pay to use public transportation as long as the government establishes a well developed price framwork and keep the price at a relatively low level and constant.
