Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? People should pay to use public transportation.(07.12.1)
Nowadays, the heavy traffic becomes an excessively urgent problem in front of every government. Some people propose to impose the crowded tax to restrain the using of private car. While others give a suggestion: why shouldn't government exempt the fee of using the public transportation, which might guide the transportation system onto a sound track. Through thoroughly consideration, I think the later recommendation which can not only benefit the public but also help to solve many problems might make more sense. On one hand, public transportation which is free of charge will provide a barrier-free option to each member of the communication. Destitute people might be the biggest beneficiaries from gratis Policy, to whom transportation fee is a considerable expense every month. What's more, this policy might to some extent alleviate the huge gap of income in many countries, for the rich have their own automobiles and don't have to commute to work each day. Moreover, the cost-free transportation can provide more convenience to the public. For example, one don't have to worry about how exact charge of taking bus or railway; one will not be delayed if his transfers or oyster card expire; one can avoid some embarrassments say ignorance of how to pay or forget to bring the purse. In a word, the gratis Policy of transportation will appeal to more citizens to choose bus or subway as their daily vehicle, which allow full, maximum utilization of the public transportation. On the other hand, the policy of charge-free transportation can indirectly help to reduce or ease many social problems. Some people may argue that free paymnet program could lead to overuse of the public facilities. Close scrutiny reveals that this situation is what the government expect. More population of public transportation users not only can promote the development of the modern transportation, but also alleviate the heavy traffic for most of the people aren't reluctant to use private motorize vehicles. The reducing number of private cars indicates that a more economic, pollution-less communication system is being built, thanks to less greenhouse gas and other pollutant emission. What's more, the authorities don't have to worry about the parking place which seems never enough.Thereby, this policy offers a timely assistance to the officers, who are totally lost in the problems about the bad traffic and severe environmental pollution. In sum, the policy of exempting the charge of public transportation seems feasible because it benefit the public and save trouble of government. It can eliminate the obstacles to use the public transportation as well as alleviate the heavy traffic. It will save more places from parking and protect the environment. Thus, I recommend to establish a transportation system which open its door to the public for free.
