[i习作temp] Issue11【六人作文小组】第1周第1次作业 [复制链接]

TOPIC: ISSUE11 - "All nations should help support the development of a global university designed to engage students in the process of solving the world's most persistent social problems."

提纲 1 承认教育的重要,但提出一所大学解决问题的不可行性
2 没有必要为了解决社会问题专门创建一所学校
3 提出我们的POLICY 继续完美教育,使得人人有学上才能更好的服务社会

Currently, some argue there should exist a global university, which is specially designed to solve some of the world’s most significant problems such as wars, economical downturn and so forth. They reckon the university needs every single nation's help to be as functional as wished. I do agree their suggestion to certain extend. However, considered it as a worldwide issue, it is a more complex issue than they have thought.

As anyone knows anything about the law of education would agree that education is the key to all problems. Through it is true that Prince Henique’s nautical college’s graduates contribute to the upgraded compass and sail boat directly, both enable the then route via the Cape of Good Hope to far east, problems still exist if one global university can solve the ongoing social problems that are both persistent and complex. How can we rely on the youngsters, as they are energetic and inexperienced? What do we suppose to teach them in that university, as even we do not know how to solve the so-called persistent problems? How can the specific education to a limited group of elites change the world? The idea of certain university is just infeasible.

Furthermore, as we have already set up the UN, why would we waste our money and time to set up another institute to mediate the world peace or find ways out the economy crisis? People throughout the world are worrying about the existed problems and try to solve them, different organizations have been set to tackle specific issues. They are professional, experienced and still to the problems. Nowadays, many students, if not most, are exchanged from one country to another, which provide them the best chance to experience other’s culture as the exchanged students’ world is fulfilled with the ‘strange’ phenomena than in a certain university. . Thus, we already have a better method of both the cultural-exchange function and problem-solving function of a global university. So the idea is unnecessary.

Lastly, should we just do nothing as many problems remain unsolved? Absolutely no and there are still a lot more that are necessary and feasible need to be done. The threshold method is to perfect our education system, problems does not lies where whether we should have a global university but how to ensure every teenagers be educated. That is to say, the ways out the situation of wars or economic crisis do not depend on how well we educate the elites but the majority. In this respect, every nation should make effort to ensure its own citizens been educated and the rich world should also provide help to poorer countries. Additionally, our education should focus more on the problems that we have tackled and are enduring at the moment. We should provide every student a chance to figure out how to solve the problems rather than the elites in global university. Only if all the earth citizens are educated and enlightened can the method of cultural-exchange be functional and can we be more calm while facing economic downturn and concentrate on solving the problems.

In sum, it is neither necessary nor feasible to set up a special designed university to tackle the world’s persistent problems. A more reliable method is to proliferate the education while perfect it, which is a process we should never stop.

总结:总的来说给我的感觉不错,观点明确,逻辑清楚。尤其使用了一些关键字句来表明自己的观点,显得有层次。不过有些句子显得有些晦涩,还有少许语法错误。--Yoda

哪个though的句子有点长,中间两个逗号是插入语,最后一个逗号后的文字和though形成对应

1、        AS引导的句子感觉有点多,和when、because之类的混着用看起来似乎好些
2、        改不出什么来了,我觉得第二段的UN运用的挺好,用一个十分具体的例子证明不需要global university,不过适当再多说几句更好
3、        蓝色的句子是我觉得值得学习的地方,不错啊,看的很省心~~~
