Dear XX:

Based on our review of your qualifications and promise for graduate study, The Institute for Management and Engineering is pleased to offer you a tuition fellowship for the Master Program.Your fellowship was assessed and awarded based on your records of academic performance.

You tuition fellowship includes 20% of the 2009 summer semester tuition. This fellowship represents $3450. The total cost of tuition for the 2009 summer semester is $17,250.

In addition, your tuition fellowship includes 20% of the tuition for the 2009 fall and 2010 spring semesters. This portion of your fellowship represents a total estimated $7180 to be distributed evenly between the fall and spring semesters for 30 credit hours of enrollment. The total tuition for these two semesters is estimated to be $35,900. The fellowship is valid for the academic year 2009-2010 only. Should you decide to defer enrollment, a fellowship will be re-assessed based on the available funding at the time of admission.

Please note. The University is required to withhold 14% on fellowships received by a non-resident alien, which exceeds tuition and related fees. Fellowship stipends and related withholding are reported on I042S, which you will receive at year end.

Graduate awards are conditional upon students maintaining good standing with the Graduate School and meeting all the requirements of the Program. Students who fail to register before the last day of the late registration period for the session in which their award is valid will forfeit their award.

To accept this fellowship, please sign and return the enclosed copy of this letter to me by February 23, 2009. A summary of your estimated tuition obligation is included.
